Lightweight Floor Jack

Anyone have any recommendation for a good lightweight floor jack to use for the track. The price range seems to be very wide for them. Quality wise ,is there much difference in USA vs others?

I have seen many people with the aluminum floor jack from harbor freight. My buddy has one he uses at home and if I was going to get one for the track, it would be that one. As it is, I just take my heavy steel one. Makes for a good tie down point for the ez-up lol

I don't know if this: Winntec Y411350 is available where you are. 10kg. Europe made with quality in mind not a Chinese junk. Sells with 3 year warranty. I am super happy with it.

I had a harbor freight aluminum jack fail in a bad way... thankfully I was at home and I had a second jack handy or I would've been fully screwed.

The U-joint that connects the handle to the pressure release mechanism snapped, with the jack in an "up" position. I had stands under the car and was trying to let it down, but I couldn't let it down because the jack wouldn't drop (since the U-joint broke).

OTOH though, I was using this jack in my garage at home... but I probably only had it like 5-6 years and couldn't have done more than 100-200 up-down cycles with the thing. It's not like it was in use at a shop.

If I had it at the track and it failed in the same way, stranding the car "up" like it did... that would've been bad.

Looks like a nice jack. However, not for sale in US.

So...tell me what you think of this:

I saw this done by a local tire shop (which doesn't mean it's right). It works great and fast. One concern was brought up by a local track guy about the impact (pun intended) of the impact gun on the screw (and related assembly) of the scissor jack. Since then, I have been bringing the normal by-hand mechanism for the scissor jack.

This setup may interest you. If anyone has thoughts on the durability of the scissor jack and the impact gun, I'd appreciate some knowledgable feedback.

EDIT: Read the one-star reviews of the adapter (with pictures) and related comments to those one-star reviews for examples where this may not be an ideal setup.

Interesting ,I already have the Impact Gun. This looks like it would be very quick to raise car and change wheel. Was looking for something lightweight for my trailer which I tow with my M2, 500lbs total, including trailer. I' m going to order it, thanks.

Life is on the track, everything else is just waiting.

Ended up buying Pittsburg 1 1/2 ton aluminum jack that weighs just 34 lbs. Just what I need for my track days to switch tires. I will update on quality after use.

I picked up the Pittsburg 1.5 ton aluminum. It was 59.99 on sale and so far it works great.

Hi,
Do you have any pictures of your trailer attached to your M2 with spare wheels? It would be good to see what this looks like any the type of trailer you're using.
Thanks

I am waiting for my trailer to be built. Should be done by this month. I will post a picture when it arrives. Their website is Leroy Engineering.

Ok great, I look forward to seeing it 👍🏻
Leroy Engineering's trailers are exactly what I've been looking for. Now I just need to find a similar company in the UK. Thanks OP
