Just curious what temperatures people target with tires fully warmed up. Please share your recommendations including target pressure and the make and model of your tire.

I saw 154F last October at Summit Point on my brand new oem Conti 3 tires with air temperature in low 60s and starting pressure of 33 psi cold.

Would like to get recommended temps and feel for which tires handle which temps best.

I've seen 200+F on the track at Thermal Club during a 2-day M-school in February, ambient was around 55-60F.

36-38 on SP Main last May. Cold temp 30-33. PS4S, high 80s outside. Had a lot of trouble with the tires greasing up.

Depends HEAVILY on compound.

Winter tires? Probably shouldn't be operated if the tire temp is above 80ºF.

All seasons? 140ºF would probably start to chunk the edges near the sidewall.

Performance Summers can probably handle up to 180ºF.

Über performance summers, tires that are designed like R-comps but drive and wear like street tires? Maybe a little bit more margin of error, up to around 200ºF.

R-Comps and slicks, I've seen some rated to operate up to 250ºF plus.
