New personal best at VIR this past weekend. Even with fairly shot Goodyear F1 SC3s on, impressed with this tire!

Visited WGI for a two day Ferrari Club of America event over the weekend. First time back at WGI since 2017 or 2018, and one of three or so total visits. I improved by about 1.5 seconds from last time but still struggled with consistency and finding the right braking techniques to use into the corners. Theoretical best lap shows mid 2:08s across multiple sessions, which I think the car is capable of.
After reviewing the videos, it also looks like I could have softened the front a click or two to get the car to turn in better and avoid understeer. Oh well, looks like I'll have to go back to the Glen soon to get in some more practice. Watkins Glen Full Track 2:10.6 dvas M2 6MT (Nitto NT01, Bilstein B16 PSS10, PFC08)

Thanks, I seem to be improving a little bit with each visit. Hoping I can put it all together next time around.

Got back out to Willow Springs International Raceway yesterday and set a new best time for myself.
1:37.39 Car is stock, 6MT running 763s and Sport Cup 2s which are nearly toast after a few track sessions there. Temp was a brutal 100 degrees. |

It gets sooo hot out there. That track is a lot of fun. Takes balls to run fast. My PB there is 1:34. Car has 1:30 easy in it. But my balls dont lol

A 1:30 would take some serious sack to pull off. I was definitely pushing the brakes hard in turns 1 and 3 but knocked 9 sec off of the last time I was there so I was stoked w that time. 1:34 is impressive. Car was getting squirrelly w the hot temps so I'll see what I can do in cooler temps w less greasy tires but I'd have to work on the driver mod to improve drastically at this point. Really looking to have a good time and not be a hero but I can see the lure for better times. That track is in BFE so you have to be careful unless you are towing your car there, which I am not. |

I won't track in summer. I'm tooo white and burn to a lobster. I just can't take the heat. When I did the 1:34 it was January 2021. I'll be at streets this coming weekend. Turn 1 is definitely hard on the brakes. 3 has camber so you can carry a lot more speed than you think. 8-9 are where most people screw up bad. That tracks all sooo high speed it's not a good one to go off. |

Our lines are almost exactly the same. Looks like you are slightly wider entering a couple turns, a little later/tighter apex too. Your braking looks about perfect, your dancing a little more on the edge of adhesion. Our tops speeds are identical. I have a new goal to shoot for at WG for next year.

Took my new to me M2C out to COTA this weekend to get a stock baseline. Everything is stock except for AP Racing brakes (did not believe the oem would be up to the task). After getting a good baseline test we put on some Pirelli DH slicks just for s#!&@ and giggles
Circuit of the Americas 2019 M2C Essex / AP Racing BBK Stock including oem spec street alignment 265/305 Pirelli DH Stupid hot (95* F ambient), clear 180 lbs of extra ballast (passenger) Heat was definitely affecting the car but still had a lot of fun out there. Awesome car already but can't wait to make it even better

So slicks are really quicker. Who woulda known...
What pad were you running? DS 1.11? Despite being relatively slow on the back-straight, looks like that grip was helping pretty much everywhere else. Reminds me of a shop build somewhere else on this forum—they showed that tire really is the biggest factor (duh). I think that post showed Öhlins and an alignment to be minuscule improvements. Now I'm sure that a lot more spring and an alignment on those slicks would be much more impressive than the same thing on a 200TW tire. |

Went out to a TNIA at Thunderbolt. First time in the car on track, only modifications are Gloc r12/r10 pads and 275/30/19 Falken 200TW tires on stock wheels. The rear tires were toast so the car was def sketchy but still a good time. Saw a bunch of M2's out there, any one in here?

Yes 1.11 - will stay on them throughout the build/testing now. On the back straight speed - I trapped slightly slower than with the MP4S despite getting much, much better launches out of 11 and going much further into 12 before braking. Was pushing close to 100* for these laps and I was also carrying a passenger. I think a morning solo run would have had a good chance of being sub 2:30. I'm excited to see the improvement with the new suspension & alignment. On sticky tires I do expect I pretty noticeable improvement like you said.

Went to Summit Point (main) recently. Unfortunately didn't get my best laps recorded (one set I had a passenger and didn't want the GoPro in his face, the other set with my better laps I was trying to get the GoPro to work with LapTimer and decided to do a firmware update which turned out to be a bad idea). On the recorded set of laps, I got a 1:24.728 my fastest for the day was a 1:23.49.
