Guys I know I let this die - it's hard building a racecar no one has ever done before, other people's race cars and having a life . I promise a comprehensive rewrite in the next 2 weeks with full documentation but here is something to hold you over and let you know I didn't give up

Looks good. If you could include your thoughts on the M2 platform for building a race car; how hard/easy it is to get the weight out of it, chassis rigidity, etc.

TYSP33D Glad I was able to help with the car. Can't wait to stop by one day and check it out in person.
I'll be pretty busy over the next few weekends, but once you get the tuning sorted out I can assist with the other things we've discussed Hopefully I'm not speaking too much information, but while I was doing a coding session with Tyler they had the car up on scales to corner balance. Lets just say it was truly a PITA and lots of swearing and laughs were involved because the chassis was so damn stiff a simple twist of the adjuster meant shifting the cross weights significantly.

The car now weighs 2990 with 1/8 tank , No driver . If you ask yourself why not a 235ir- look up their min race weight , component specifications and horsepower , then look at this car's weight , component spec and horsepower and let me know if you still want the off the shelf version |

It's been asked like 3-4 times so far in this thread !
This was about the build for me , the journey if you will. Sure I could have just bought a 235ir! Other people have those . No one has this car. And after hundreds and hundreds of hours of work and development I am proud to say it's mine , and that I built it with my own hands ! |

Very cool, thanks for sharing the build. I hope to transition my M2 to a dedicated track car in 3-4 years so your sharing will help me as I approach that project. I doubt I will go all out like you but its really cool to see how much weight you took out of the car and how well it turned out, I am sure you will have a ton of fun with it for years to come.
