I can't prove it, but I have a feeling dealerships can change the rate. They like to hide behind the whole "it's regional" thing, but I'm willing to bet they have more control over it than they like to let on.

If it's from BMWFS, they don't have any wiggle room lower than the base rate for their store's region code. For example, let's say they put you at 2.99% (the rate at the neighboring region). When they push the paperwork through to BMWFS and put in their store code, the paperwork will automatically get rejected by BMWFS and they will deny the financing at that rate. It's an automated system. They can call and bitch to BMWFS, but the reps can't do anything either. Even though the region at your residence has that rate, your store can only give you the right in their region.

Good to know, thanks for the clarification.

looks like your paying gap, warranty and maintence plans as well and your interest rate isn't that great either.

you might be better off leasing and using the $5700 to do multiple security deposits to buy down the lease rate. You get back the security deposits at the end of the lease and includes gap insurance in the lease.

Yeah it's BS I live in Fremont CA where the rate is 2.99 which I do qualify for but a few hours away Fresno BMW there best rate is 4.25 which they still gave me a tad better but wtf. Don't see where they are including and charging me gap, warranty and maintenance but if they are!
Wow they are really toying with me and it's pissing me off if that's the case. And this is from the dealer who crashed my OG M2 coming out of the showroom. The only reason why I went with them again is for the $1000 cash back and at MSRP.

sorry about that...your right...its hard to tell from the listing. Their basically not giving you too much of a discount off msrp on the car and your $5700 down is offset by the sales tax. This is assuming your getting a manual car at 61k msrp.

you can go to a credit union and try to get 3.0% interest at 75 months. You'll only pay $50 more a month but save $4k in interest.

I would try to get a bigger discount off the car. 7-8% msrp off based off what other people have said that received. Maybe expand your search to socal as well.

Yeah ended up going with my local credit union 3.25%(rates are shitty right now) and no I bought the car for $59,445 and anything more than 59k was my down payment. Normally hold my cars for 2-3 years so this is why these loans make sense for me but went with a traditional loan this time.

yeah the lease on the m2c is garbage...its actually cheaper to lease a porsche cayman then a m2c lol. I thought about a lease on a m2c and just buying the m2 og...i looked at the delta of 43k for my m2 og and 56k if i got a great discount on a m2c. I didn't think the m2c was $13k better. so i ended up getting a 2017 m2 6psd 3700miles for $43k.

But yeah you can always refi later. I think the fed hinted at a possible rate drop next month.
