Bimmercode connection issues
Anyone had issues when trying to connect Bimmercode to their OG M2?
Context is this: I have a late 2016 M2 DCT, stock I have a OnePlus 5T on OxygenOS 9.0.9 I have a Veepeak OBDCheck BLE OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner purchased from Amazon in the last couple of days. Phone in Airplane mode, removed the BT connection from phone to iDrive, removed (in this case) BT connection from my phone to my Samsung watch. So, the symptoms: I can make a new connection to the OBD dongle. Sometimes it will ask for the default pin to connect, sometimes not. When connected, I can start the app connecting but it will either tell me the connection is closed, or it will bring up the vehicle selection list (I'll choose M2) and it will then fail on the connection. For whatever reason, I can't transfer licence / purchase to an iPad I have, so I'm stuck on the phone for the moment. Anyone any suggestions?

I was having a similar issue when I first tried to code.
Is the car in AC mode? On but not running. I got the same adapter as you, and found the connection to be more reliable if I held my phone closer to the OBDII adapter while it was trying to connect. |

Make sure you have your connector settings set properly in bimmercode as well.

Altra: tried both in AC mode and running. No difference. Will try the closer-is-better version.
F87source: yes, I'm sure it's matching the connector setting to the connector actual. A Support Request concluded that the firmware in the connector is out of date and missing some code, so I'm trying to return it. Came via Amazon so shouldn't be an issue. |

I have a Veepak and find that it will not want to connect sometimes. I unpair it from the phone and re-pair, which usually solves the issue.
May be worth a try. |
