MyBMW app - anyone having issues logging in?
When I try to log into the MyBMW app, I get the following:
{"error": "invalid_client", "error_description": "Client authentication failed (e.g., login failure, unknown client, no client authentication included or unsupported authentication method)"} This is similar to the error that I was getting when they transitioned from the old app to this one. Anyone else experiencing this? |

Very odd. I removed and reinstalled. I logged on via my browser (and it works fine). The app just doesn't work for me.
Android 12, Pixel 3XL wifi or Verizon, same result. |

I had the same error for months and couldn't log into the app. Tried various browsers on the phone, cookies enabled, disabled, etc and nothing worked. Finally fixed itself when they came out with a new update that fixed the issue. Seemed like it was an issue specific to android phones

Got same issue.
Seems to have something to do with your chrome or "google" app. The fix would be download an "edge" browser and get to your android settings -> default app -> browser to be edge. Then when in mybmw login, click top right to open the login page in edge and log in. Another option even though I didn't try, but I think may still work is to just uninstall and then install chrome. And then retry. |

I set my default browser to Firefox (from Chrome), and it worked. Such a simple fix on their end... The beauty of APIs, but they haven't done it... :-( |

This just started happening to me yesterday. Using Android 12 on a Pixel 4a. Cleared app cache, uninstalled/reinstalled app. I can login to the connected drive portal without error but can't use the app as it redirects to a login page and fails to accept my valid login credentials.

Finally it works
This is due to a default browser issue and happens only on android , follow these steps and it works
On your android mobile phone, from the home page 1. Pull the top of the screen down, 2. hit the gear on the top right. 3. Hit the search button and type the word "default", 4. then select "choose default apps". 5. Now select "choose default apps" again. 6. then select browser apps 7. and change the browser to one of the other options and try to login in again. This worked for me. |
