Did anyone managed to change the regular 2 series to an M2 on iDrive?

The f87 icon isn't available in the idrive.

Which is why you want to disable the animation that displays when changing modes.

This is selected somewhere within iDrive. If you set a radio button to be preset to your sport displays, and disable the animation when changing modes you can avoid it entirely.

With all the mods, coding and tuning available for F87's, there is no solution/ coding for this? Weird…

Unless you want to go the long way and replace the images in the headunit to your own custom pictures

I feel the same. BMW could easily update this as well, but they care not.

Newer iDrive 7+ cars not only show you the correct model, but color as well.
