Is there a switched power source in the M2?

In my 135i, the USB port is switched - it turns off with the engine
In the M2, it appears that both USB ports are permanently on. Both cigarette lighters are also permanently on, but that's not surprising, as that's how it is in most cars.
Where do you guys plug in your dashcam?

Some supplies are delayed off, maybe 20 minutes after ignition off / lock.

Plug something it with an led on it then lock up and come back and look through the windos after say half an hour.

I've already tested what I could find.
My question is if you know which supply is switched.
I'm also asking those who may have a dash cam what they do.

The cigarette lighter and USB are switched, but there is a delay.
Locking the car makes them shut off more quickly.

I have my radar detector tapped off of the mirror, which shuts off within a minute or two of ignition off.

My dash cam is on a PowerMagicPro which is run directly from the battery in the trunk (so I can use parking mode).

Used one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Escort-Direct...adar+hard+wire

Splice power to the green/brown wire for the mirror and ground to the brown/black.

I use Mirrortap to power my radar detector from the mirror power source. Works like a charm and by selecting the right tap point it powers on and off immediately. I'm also using a Blendmount to hand the detector right below the mirror without using suction cups.

I have my dash cam connected to a Battery Pack which is connected to a Power Magic Pro which is connected to the car battery by way of the fuse board. I can get about 12 hours of parking mode. The only issue so far is that I have to push the open button on the key when I return to the car in the morning, just having the key in my pocket and grabbing the door handle or pushing the trunk release button will not work.

I think it is fuse 124 but I'd have to check.

That sounds like a good solution.
Have you figured out why connecting a load to the battery (the Power Magic Pro) would interfere with Comfort Access (door handle sensing)?

I can't say I've looked into it but I have the Power Magic Pro set to cut off supply from the car battery (going to the Power Magic Battery Pack) when the car battery reaches 12 Volts. My assumption is that the car goes into battery save mode and shuts off the Comfort Access...I don't know what to call it...field which reaches out to the key. Pushing the button always works and the car has always started with the first push of the start button. I do get a warning on the screen telling me the batter is draining with the car turned off

Your guesses make perfect sense to me.
Can that Power Magic be set to stop at 12.5V? Have you tried playing with that?
