If you look at "why" Apex says that it's because with any height adjustable front coilover the spring perch (and thus spring) sits further down the strut beside the tire/wheel. With the OE setup the bottom spring perch sits higher up on the strut above the tire.

After a lot of track time on these coils I'm still fairly happy. Spring rates are a tad soft but still the best bang for buck coilover/ camber plate out there IMO
