Some people on here seem to forget how fortunate they are to even own an M2, there are people who can only dream of a regular BMW never mind an M BMW, be thankful for what you have and give this " haha but mine has an s55 and yours does not." Behaviour a rest it's embarrassing.

And I'm not just going on about this thread, that's all I've read on the other threads regarding the M2C.

Honestly, I don't see a lot of this shit from real M2 owners, or from people who appreciate the original but still want the M2C.

I see it from...others.

The m3 /m4 is the car to buy if someone need the last engine....
It may be December before the M2 Comp gets to Italy, but they will likely start production at the factory around the 3rd week in July. They could show up at the Welt by the first or second week in August.
Here we don't have quote for the Petrol car. This is the situation. 1 year ago I would like to order a m140i 5 door ( very close to eop ) was 8/9 month waiting... I decided to go to m2 ready for delivery

I usually stay above the fray on things like this, but I have to chime in. If you talk shit about the outgoing M2 you are a douche. If you talk shit about the new M2c you are also a douche. Life's too short, don't be a douche.

Even if the M2 Competition base price does only increase by $3000 there is still going to be a huge price increase in Canada compared to the price of the 2016 M2.Back in June 2016 when I picked up my M2 the base price was $61,000 CDN and that was basically for a fully loaded car.Only options were DCT and the Smartphone Connectivity Package. Now in 2018 the M2 base price is $65,200 and that doesn’t include the optional Adaptive LED Headlights, which are a $1000 option. The adaptive xenon headlights were standard on the MY16 M2,so that means the increase between a MY16 and MY18 M2 is $5200.Then add another $3000 increase for the new M2 Competition and that puts it up to $8200 more for the M2 Competition over the price of the 2016 M2 in Canada. That is quite a bit more than what I paid for my car.

agreed. shouldn't see it at all though, its petty and embarrassing. people come on here to discuss and share information, not to get they're car abused just because a new model has come out. Almost as bad as Audi owners arguing about which RS is better.

People bought M2s a la Bitcoin?

IMHO, the M2, on top of being a fantastic vehicle, was (is) one of the best value propositions. BMW marginally increasing base price for the M2C? Where do we sign baby? Not parting ways with the M2 yet: a fine little rocket it is...

Depreciation is the cost that one willingly pays for the enjoyment of the car over time. I do care about price vs what you get from it --at $75K I would have considered something else.

2. In Italy there are no quote. We check with dealer and is not possible to order because they don't have pricing yet. M2C will arrive as it is configured from bmw Italy.
If you want to order here we are over the year. So at least 20 month.
Otherwise go to dealer and take the car of the launch with no discount....basically at same price and less time order an M3/4 with more hp and possibility to personalize....this is the situation here...
M2C will start showing up on lots in Sept around the world(guess Italy gets f*cked). Still over two years before EOP. Plus the traditional time between new models. From today next gen M2 is still at minimum 3 years away.

I see shit from people I have never seen on here before. The M2C is a troll magnet. Facebook M2 groups are really on fire about the M2C.

FFS!
They got a great car. Those of us hoping for a Comp will also get a great car - the inevitable evolution of cars. How about we make fun of you and your silly M2 Comp when the next M2 comes out with a de-tuned S58?

Fact of life: if you wait long enough, a newer, better model will come along, even one that will outpace your beloved S55 M2.
So how about we give the N55 bagging a rest for half a second - at least they have an M2, unlike us.
(No, I'm not an N55 M2 owner).
This.

I've been driving the best M car on the market for the past two years and I've been enjoying it and am super happy with it. The release of this new car doesn't change that.

Also, If I want to upgrade to a comp I'll sell and upgrade. It's not like I'm tied to my car for life or anything. Y'all need to settle the down and stop bashing N55 M2 owners for no reason. It's pretty mean spirited and immature, and I also don't see any point to it. If stirring the pot to get a reaction out of people is your idea of fun or entertainment then you need a new hobby.

thank you bmw alone for the forum drama it's too good
For those who have always wondered if BMW reads forums, the whole M235i>M2>M2C>M2C w/M Performance parts ordeal is proof that BMW not only listened to the complaints, but purposely withheld until their ideal moment and enjoys getting a good kick out of all of this forum drama.

It's more than a free show, they get paid with each new episode.

Episode 1)
M235i- let's dress it up with ///M badges and do a photoshoot with the 2002. We'll make 'em think that this will be the best 2-series and that there's no successor to the 1M.

Episode 2)
M2 (N55)- let's give the M235i a widebody and some bits from the F8x. Do a photoshoot with the E30 M3 and 1M to create more nostalgia and a narrative that this car has legendary status and the best and purest M.
S55? Nah...we sold the 1M just fine with a "regular" engine. Just tell them we modified it with a closed-deck. By the time they find out it's open-deck, we already have their money.
Don't put those M Mirrors and seats and all that on yet. Ehhh, just tell 'em it doesn't fit.

Episode 3) part 1
M2 Competition- okay we're ready to give them the real deal, kinda. Make sure to emphasize in all the videos that the M Mirrors are present and so is the M Power engine (S55).
Oh remember when we said M mirrors were less aerodynamic and don't fit? Good, neither do we.
Shhhhh, no CF roof as standard because now we already trained the customer not to expect these things for free. Oh, I know, we can charge them for it!

Episode 3) part 2
By the way sorry we forgot to mention if you want a CF roof we have it available as an M Performance product. Also we got stickers, i think they add horsepower, because M.

TL;DR
From the M235i to the M2C with MP parts, BMW has been the instigator and the beneficiary to all the bitching, arguing, and butthurt.
Accurate AF.
BMW M. Playing people like fiddles since 1972.

I don't mind paying an extra 3.35% and getting a real M engine

When is the official production date for US?
"Real" ///M engine..... we all know the last bespoke M engine was the S65B40. We can stop arguing "real" on all newer engines. Right?

I had the break in service last week on my '18 "nottareal-M n55 shitbox", so I have been on it this past weekend. All smiles. Not sure if you guys that are railing on this car have driven one??...but this car is the tits. Granted, I have done some slight mods Can't wait to get it out to the track.
Hope you guys that are lucky enough to get an M2C are as happy with your purchases. If these prices are right..seems like it's still going to be a great bang for the buck.

You guys have to start ignoring these M2/M2C trolls; they're obviously trying to get a rise out of you and you'll are taking the bait hook, line.. ect.

I am 99% sure these forum aggravators don't own a vehicle, let alone a BMW.. You should more pity them simple because no reasonable person would log onto an online public forum and provoke people they don't know..

Multiple members, including yours truly have had contracts with deposits on an M2c @ MSRP since last year, some over a year ago. Not wishing anyone in particular has the "last laugh", but the jokes on you.

How? And how can I get on that?
