If this is active then I'm not sure what else you could do. It should be working with these settings. Maybe adjusting the delay would help.

This worked great for me (simple mode). I'm surprised I didn't find this setting earlier, so thanks. Hope Kid Eh can get it working. I sometimes leave the windows cracked and storms can roll in pretty quick in NE Florida.

For the guy with the VIN mystery, I posted in his other thread that you can check the last 7 of your VIN in the iDrive settings. It shows you that when you look at your current software version. You can compare this with the plate on the dash.

My Vehicle > iDrive Settings > Software Update > Show Current Version.

That'll show you:

VIN: (last 7)
Telephone:
Media:

Good luck with your situation. It's a squirrely one.

But I started reading about issues here just before receiving the car so I didn't pull the trigger on buying the App immediately, and now and I don't think I ever will.

Not trying to discount the great work the developers of BimmerCode and other apps for that matter has done, but on the losing warranty risk spectrum for this car, I am being very conservative. It's crazy for me to treat my $55K+ car like a $700 iPhone that I'm jailbreaking to add a couple of features that Apple doesn't want to give me. I know the analogy is not perfect, but it has enough similarities. Of course each person will have their own risk tolerance.

I will at most use the ASD harness. If I keep the car past the warranty, I may play with coding.

Best of luck to gallahadd and anyone else facing a risk to their warranty after coding. I hope your dealers/BMW cooperate and reset the software for you without issues.
Thanks, got car back today and it took 5 hours for them to fix it. I still have my warranty but it cost me $667

Congrats on keeping your warranty and "ouch" on the payment. Could have been worse, though. Will you be coding again?

Yes, it's a Bimmercode secret menu. Once you find it, you choose the new car you want, click ok, throw your iPhone as far as you can out the window, and then leave your current car with the keys in it at the mall parking lot, and low and behold your new car shows up at your home.

Looks bleedin' gorgus! I take it it's the new M5 with X Drive? Wear well and enjoy it!
It's over 160,000 euro here in little old Ireland (189k $) so its way out of my price range.
The new M2 CS is running in at $120,000 so even that is a pricey change

I went the ASD harness route because I was not sold on the coding being a safe and reliable method. Is there a wired connection alternative that can be used with bimmercode? I’m guessing not or I’m sure that would have come up here.

I have a couple of hard errors when I read codes...prolly due to my coding with bimmercode. Everything seems to function correctly but the errors are always there when I code read. I am sure i will hear about it when I go in for my 10k service and they do the mandatory software update for the gauge issue

Has anyone successfully coded out the center speaker? I read in a post from 2-3 years ago someone had. But I cannot find the way to do so. I would rather do that than pry up the panel on the center console.

It would be great if that was possible... You get a fault code from the amplifier if you just disconnect. Coding might prevent that.

Can Bimmercode be used to change the Active Driving Assistant's default setting to 'off'? If not, can it be disabled entirely?

Has anyone managed to code EBT with an iD6 HU? The only info I've been able to find is for what looks like iD5 units, but I'm new to this so I could be wrong.

Code:
HU_NBT > AUDIO_TUNER_TRAFFIC 3002 > AUDIO_OFFSET = aktiv
HU_NBT > AUDIO_TUNER_TRAFFIC 3002 > MICROPHONE_NUMBER = wert_2

EBT is a standard option for all US M2's (so I'm pretty unfamiliar with it since I haven't had to code it in) but I would assume that if the coding you have for id5 is correct, than it should also work in id6.

I would double check in this thread just to make sure:

Nothing wrong with asking here... provided you can give us a little more information.

It's true that there are many US forum members on here, and this is standard for our cars, but that's a benefit actually.

I can do a comparison of the coding for the HU_NBT module between yours and mine and tell you what the differences are, but you'll need to share me your default coding file (from E-Sys) in order for me to do that.

There is another possible way to do this... If you can share me your VIN, I can look up the options that your car has, and based on that, build up a default coding file in E-Sys, then compare this to my car, and highlight all of the differences in that module between yours and mine.

I wouldn't suggest that you change every difference, but from your research, you should have a fair idea of which differences are relevant and which aren't.

Apologies if you've already been asked this andrewc89 but after searching I can't find the answer. Can you let me know what "Comfort Closing Delay - No Delay" means? Is this the delay when you lock the car via the exterior door handle?

It eliminates the initial 2-3 second wait time to roll the windows up/down when you press and hold lock/unlock on your key

Where were you able to download the latest maps from (for free) ?

Same error just happend to me and the response from developer was to reload the maps.

this can be fixed by downloading the latest map update from the connected drive website and putting this on a USB stick.

I download my maps from connected drive homepage.

Maps can be found on different "non bmw" sites, but the code needed to unlock them to your vin needs to be bought/obtained.

Has anyone been able to code the amber LED corner lights off? If so, how do you do it? Thank you.
