I believe 5 is only available on the earlier cars. I can only do up to 3 on my 5/2017 build. I'd rather have 5 myself, or at least the option.

Do you guys know if there is a way to code out or disable the rear view autodim? I have 5% rear tint so it's not needed and actually it still dims when cars are behind me at night making it really dark.

I just got the Veepeak OBD Bluetooth adapter ( https://amzn.to/2OLXzyN ). I was wondering if anyone has used this one yet. It got high ratings on Bimmercode website. It's like 28 bucks normally but I was lucky when I went to buy it they had a lightning deal on amazon for this yesterday and was 22 bucks! Good timing!
I had the old Vgate iCar 2 before which relied on wifi. This one seems much better using Low Energy Bluetooth. Supposed to have a faster transfer rate and more reliable. Bimmercode also highly recommended the Kiwi 3 OBD adapter ( https://amzn.to/2vVhfcK ) but that one is 98 bucks. Is the Kiwi 3 worth the extra 70 bucks over the Veepeak? Anyone have experience with both and can discuss how they compare? I'm getting ready to code my son's '18 3 series! Also after coding should I always go in and clear out all error codes as a best practice? I think I did this last year on my X5 but wasn't sure if same applied on newer 3 series. If clearing codes is necessary should I do it after all coding is complete or do it after each module is coded? Or is it ok either method? Thanks. |

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the graphic of the car that appears under the rev and speedo? It is a white/grey colour and I would love to make mine LBB!

Hi guys, if dealer updates me to latest Istep and reset all my codings, can I just load the BimmerCode saved file to recover codings?
BTW mine is a M2 MY2017, why I want the latest Istep is because I found WOT shift in S+ mode is rough enough to flash the traction light every single time. I heard newer version software is smoother in S+ shift. Doesn't hurt to give a try. Will report back. Anyone help with my question?

This thread has been SO helpful...thanks to all that have contributed.
Small problem: I used Bimmercode to "Open doors at ignition shutoff", but it only unlocks the driver door. Is there a solution that opens BOTH doors? thanks again, Dave |
