No, this was taken during drying - just getting all the water out of the edges.

Drove 500 miles late yesterday from Cincinnati to Charlotte in my 18 LCI with dinan exhaust. Near the NC boarder went thru a 1/4 tunnel with no other cars near me. Rolled down the windows and turned it loose. The sound was glorious.

Installed the TechnicPnP ASD Bypass Harness (https://technicpnp.com/product/asd-bypass-harness/) following the instructions from the bimmerfest forum (http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=884959). The info was pretty much spot on, except you do not need to swap the black and grey connector locks any more. The harness I bought (April 2018) plugs right in now. Install time for me was on the order of 45 minutes. You will need a Torx (T40) driver unless you want to use vice grips or similar to loosen a bolt.
In addition, I installed the fender to body seals: - Driver side: 51-48-7-300-693 - Passenger side: 51-48-7-300-694 This was quick. Probably took me 15 minutes to do the drivers side and 5 minutes to do the passenger side. Here are some pretty decent instructions for this: http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showp...5&postcount=80 I didn't check the sound difference for each and I didn't do anything scientific to measure the differences but I can say that there is a significant reduction in the perceived sound level in the car. For me, much more enjoyable. |

I was fortunate enough to remember to film the first time I started up my M2 when I picked it up on tuesday. I hope the audio quality is better than most because my microphone and camera are pretty top notch. I also have a little bit of the interior and the M Performance digital steering wheel as I started it up.
My M Performance exhaust is going to be delivered to my new home in Italy on Thursday from IND and I am super excited. They really helped me out because we can no longer get the MPE out here in europe.

Some additional sound insulation combined with the Litchfield suspension I experienced last week would make the car really refined, but still handle and sound great.

Not really just for my M2 but finally after years of inaction bought myself a proper tire inflator. 3 track/street cars plus winter and summer tires equals lots of inflations.

I gave it a way to tell time. This is hung right in front of where I park the M2.
I do a lot of crap in the garage and my old clock in there died a few months back. We were shopping in a home store today and I found a cheap wooden clock on clearance (likely due to the pukeworthy peach color). The wheels started turning. $6 later for the clock and some scavenged stuff from the garage gave me this. I used some real Carbon Black paint like my M3, some vinyl ///M stripes I have laying around in a roll and an old roundel badge from an old trunk or hood badge I replaced a few years back. That plus my silly arts and crafts hat left me with this. It's not too bad and perfect for the garage.

Took it on the "PA Dragon" with a bunch of Porsche guys and an M4 on Sunday. Some serious twisties with elevation changes. WHOA! This car is absolutely amazing. It sticks to the road like glue. There was some minor wheel spin, but I'm ok with that. ;-) Also the DCT is a marvel. It knows exactly where to be when you need it. It's so good you can just concentrate on your turns and sweeps.

Picked up the car today out of province (from an authorized bmw store). It had 2600 kms on it and then did a 600 km drive home. I find out now that the car never had its break in service done, taking it in tomorrow morning. How bad is this for the car?
