Sorry, missed that. Still 50% more than I paid so I'll stick with my choice...

Check out Pneus en Solde in the east-end on the 40. A buddy of mine just picked up a brand new set of 19" wheels and tires for $2k.

Yeah, did a quick search and the only cheap tires they have are "Northpole" brand and such...they have PA4s and such but they are actually more expensve than other places. I'm looking for real winter tires. Cheers.

Go with PMC Tire, that's who I'd recommend. I just got a set of 18" wheels and tires for my 2018 X3 for $2000, tax in! They only charge GST if you're outside of QC!

What's 50% of $2000? $1000...

$2000 + $1000 = $3000

Quick maths!

Sadly the M2C requires 19 inch wheels...not many options. BMWs kit (641M) is almost 5k plus taxes...

Yowza, that's almost $800 more than I paid for mine in the states, considering the current exchange rate. My dealer did work with me a little bit though, got them for $200 over cost. Still waiting on the $75 rebate that came with them though.

A member here got the 641M kit for 2690 USD from Sunmotors in PA. I'm kind of set of getting "real" winter tires (Nokian/blizzak/X-ice) but that's a decent deal. Tirerack's cheapest set if 2490 USD for PA4s with Flow F2 wheels...

Be careful. I have a 2020 M2C and picked up a set of 'recommended' wheels/tires from Tirerack - 19x9.5 FLOW ONE Race Spec F2 w/ 245/35R19 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4. The front wheels rub when turning.

Nice looking wheels!

Wow, with a 22 offset, they stick out 13mm more than stock. Would love to see a shot from the rear of the car, to see how aggressive it looks. Hopefully all the extra stuff thrown up in the winter won't get too messy with that stance.

As far as the rub, I'm not surprised...

If you compare the two tires' Tread Widths, you'll see that too: The PA4's is 9.5" whereas the PSS is 8.8". It goes away after a few thousand miles of driving, and has caused no damage on the plastic.

They look pretty good, and don't stick out very much at all.

I ended up fixing the wheel rub issue by using a heat gun to meld the inner plastic fender guard/liner back enough to clear the wheel.

1) Removed wheel
2) Heated up the inner plastic liner around the spot the tire rubbed, and much of the larger surrounding area
3) Pressed the plastic guard outward from the center of the wheel hub to make more clearance
4) While holding, sprayed with cold water to set the plastic in place
5) No more tire rub

I almost went with those, but noticed the disclaimer at the bottom of their web site about rubbing. I called them, and asked the sales guy about it. He talked to one of the techs, and mentioned it was an issue at full turn. At that point, I decided to go with the BMW recommended set for peace of mind, even with the additional cost ($400)

The issue, from what I understand, is the 9.5 inch size with the wrong offset. The BMW recommended fronts are 8.5, so no issue there. Just not a lot of options available, unfortunately.

Never thought of that! Brilliant.

Sorry, that's wrong. Did you skip over the 1st and 18th (one year update) posts of this thread? I explained it all there... LOL.

This is great info. How much clearance is there now after pushing in the liners? I'm hoping I can fit 265s up front just like people do with the original M2.

What's wrong? 9.5 won't fit without rubbing, but 8.5 will IF you get the recommended 641M's. Looks like you tried another 8.5, not the BMW ones, and had trouble with the brakes.

You have a serious reading comprehension challenge it seems. 641M wheels don't even come with 245 tires... And I never had any issues with brakes. We're talking about TIRE rub. Jesus.

Good luck to you.

No I beat you, I got a hundred... 🤗
In November Rebate was $100, I didn't know about it until Brian from the dealer sent in the form to sign and email back, it was like a free dinner for me and Mrs. Miller

Perhaps you have dementia and don't remember what you even posted:

"The wheel we tried was 8.5" wide, with 35 offset, and while the clearance of the front brakes from the spokes wasn't a problem (so the higher offset was not an issue), the side of the rim did NOT clear the brakes unfortunately."

Sounds like an issue with brakes to me.

I'm fine I went with the recommended set and guess what I have no issue!

I'm also here to read helpful advice, not get in some pissing match, so I'll leave it at that

I didn't measure, but guesstimate I freed up almost ~1/2 inch from the liner high-spot with minimal efforts, and have ~1/8 inch of clearance when the tire is turned all the way. It's quite close, but no more rubbing.

Also picked up some nice bmw caps on the wheels now to make the wheels look a little bit more OEM
