check your charge pipe
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com the reason i am posting is to point out that the crack in mine was so minor so its very possible someone out there is driving with theirs cracked as well, the symptoms of my car were slight lack of power along with a muffled sound when reving car at a stand still, i kept checking this pipe for cracks and could not find anything until i put my phone on the underside and took a video, there seems to be a horrible connecting seam on the pipe where it is prone to cracking the muffled sound was driving me nuts...so yeah take a look at yours today! yeah i know i sound like a doctor demanding people to do check ups |

Did you get yours replaced under warranty? What did they say? I'm not an expert, but I'm not sure how the downpipe would cause this to happen. You say it was your only mod. Reason I'm exploring this idea is because maybe it might be an option for someone to continually get a new chargepipe replaced under warranty and then shell out the $$ for an aftermarket CP after warranty is up. Might be an option for someone strapped on cash and would rather spend the money on other mods.

when looking in the engine bay from the top..its near the top part of the pipe where it connects to the throttle body (i think thats what its called) you will see a seam on the pipe that goes around and it looks rough, this part cracked and it cracked on the underside that is not visible from looking from the top..its very hard to see

Wouldnt air escaping from a crack in the charge pipe normally trigger a CEL?

At least thats how it worked on my Mazda. Normal LTFT's on that car were +/-5%. Anything above 10% usually meant small leak. 20% or higher meant significant leak (usually shitty clamp job when changing intake, IC, etc...). |

Already replaced both Charge and Boost pipe with FTP. Ordered and the box was on my doorstep 2 days later! Good quality and fit. Those that are really picky should get different/better quality clamps.
