Let me know your opinion
I must of hit something. The cut is about a quarter inch deep. The tires have 4,000 miles on them. There is a minor abrasion on the rim also which is a bit hard to see with the reflection. I don't know when it happened, but I assume I have driven at least 500 miles on them. Like most, I occasionally drive aggressively on the street (the car hasn't been on the track and if i did, I would for sure replace the tires). I will likely replace the tire, but wanted to get any experienced opinions about driving as is or repairing. Thanks

I would get it replaced ASAP. It is unrepairable.

Yup. You need to replace that. No telling when it might fail. Also, being a sidewall gash like that, it'll most likely fail hard, and lose air quickly.

You can try gluing it back in place with super glue. Cyanoacrylate is the best glue for rubber. But if you hit a bump at the right spot, it may burst. And if it burst at highway speeds, you will probably destroy the rim even further. Not sure how likely it is to burst, so it's up to you how much risk you want to take.
Personally, I would try repairing it and keep an eye on it for leaks or bubbles/deformation forming in that area. Especially since I drive in the city with an average speed under 20mph, so the chance of me screwing up the rim if it bursts is less. Also keeping 30psi or less in the tire would help too, as the tire would be able to absorb more impact. |

Side wall bubble is more dangerous than the damage you have, but I’d still replace it for the peace of mind.
If for some reason it fails, it’ll probably do a LOT more damage than the price of a tire. |

For peace of mind, replacement of the tire would be recommended. It isn't worth the risk of a blow out and potential damage to yourself or others.
Replace those as soon as you can! - Max
