That's pretty good clearance around the caliper for being a 19" or at least looks that way from the pictures. Maybe just too dark to see.

Also, if the tire is the part hitting the fender liner, does the width of the wheel even matter that much?

The closer the tire is to the fender when the wheels are straight, the closer it is to the fender liner at full lock. So yeah, width and offset matters.

Did you read my one year update? Post 18? Golf guy seems to have missed it...

Same comment as above.

I don't think what you say makes sense, if you try and visualize it. A 19" wheel is a 19" wheel... Can we agree at least the diameter would not be different? And either one -- regardless of width -- has the exact same tire on it and therefore the exact same overall diameter.

Tell me how the width can make any difference? It's not the wheel that's hitting the fender...

oem wheel on stock size michline alpine pa4 also rubs when you do full turn

I have 255/35R19 PA4s on the front and I have no rub. Stock suspension. Stock wheels.

Confused. Aren't these the same front dimensions as the stock tires?

I'm wiped out, so maybe I missed a memo.

Did you get a square set up or did you get 10's in back? i just got the Flow one F2 19x9.5 front and 19x10 in rear. They are on my garage floor. I am worried about the rears hitting the fender when i go over a hump or something like that. I am putting the OEM tires on them - or the dealer is for free. I don't like the black wheels so I will use them for track or sell them. I have had my 2020 M2C a couple of weeks now.

thanks

I should have mentioned that the unfortunate offset on the 10 inch rears is 28 and thus, they stick out about a half an inch. But the Apex staggered solution is .5 inches wider than stock too and you can’t get those wheels until March now.

Yesterday, this note came with the Tire rack delivery of the 10 inch Flow one F2s:

Note:

Reuse O.E. lug hardware. Aggressive fitment. May require fender modification for proper clearance.

I did a square 19x9.5 FLOW ONE Race F2 setup, and the rear had no fitment issues.

I ordered my comp with the 437m wheels and will eventually buy summer wheels.

Keep the factory wheels for winters , mounting sotto zero 3s on them-

235/35

255/35

Little thin, but still safe on those size wheels . Thinner is better in winter too if you get into deeper snow situations .

Could you post some pics? I'm wondering how 235/255 rubbers fit on 9"/10" rims.

For comparison, there are my 265/35R19 Sottozero Serie II front tires on my 2018 M2. It gets close but doesn't rub.

If you have the Silver 2NH brakes, then no. 18" wheels won't fit.
If you have the standard M blue brakes, then yes.

Yea I have the Silver brakes and doesn't look like 18" will fit. I actually didn't know 18" wheels fit on M3/M4, I thought they had the same brakes

Hey guys, I’m new here since I sold the F80, and now have an M2C. I have a set of OEM wheels remaining from my F80, 19x9 and 19x10.

Anyone here runs 235/40-19 and 255/40-19 on their M2C for winter ? Theses are tires I had on my F80.....if yes, any rubbing ? Thanks in advance !

Most likely, yes. I got a used set of Renn Motorsports RS-51 wheels (fronts 8.5", rear 9.5") with 245/40-19 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32s all around on the forums and just installed yesterday. They do rub. I'll be doing what drewdq did here: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...4&postcount=34

40 profile is too tall for 19" - you need 35 profile sidewalls for 19"

Looking at the thread you refer to, Drewdq had 35 section winter tyres and still got a rub.

As per my comment above - if using 40 profile on 19" wheel you'll need more than a heat gun, a stick and cold water spray....

All I said is that I'll be doing what he did. If it completely stops it from rubbing, score! If not, oh well it'll probably at least be better than doing nothing and cost me nothing but time.

I've read through a couple threads and have seen conflicting info, so hoping to clarify. I'm looking to mount Michelin PA4s on the stock 788m wheels.

1) Can I do a square setup with 245/35? Or will that be a stretch for the rears?

Or

2) will I be ok running a staggered setup, 245/35 and 265/35? I thought I read someone's post where this rubbed due to a different profile than the PSS

Thanks!
