Hello all,

Purchasing wheels has been the most difficult decision for me. I have searched the inter webs all over the place and still can't make up my mind.

My ideal set up would be to run a 18" wheel that fits my Essex ap brakes and 265-275 front and 285-295 rear. While being one of the lightest wheels out there.

Any recommendations would be really appreciated.

As far as I know, the Volk Racing wheels specifically designed for the M2 and are not compatible with the M2C with the big silver front calipers, but it seems you're aware of that. The M2 official offerings are only offered in staggered widths of 9" and 10". They don't offer 9.5" or 10.5" wheels, so it may prove to be more difficult to run that tire setup. Personally speaking, I wouldn't run 265s on a 9" wide wheel, nor 295s on a 10" wide wheel, although there are folks in this forum who have done so and think they've gotten some sort of performance improvement out of them (won't get into that here).

Rays does offer many of these wheels in 9.5" and 10.5" widths, but they're designed to fit on an M3/M4. The offsets are too aggressive for our platform, so unless you plan on pulling your fenders, it might not be a good idea. Still something to think about, though.

All of the above does depend on whether you're swapping to the AP Racing front brakes, though. Without them, even the 19" variants of Volk Racing's line up won't fit over those big silver calipers. I've seen a few threads on here where people have learned that the hard way.

Sorry wasn't much help on helping you decide which wheels. I think this is really a matter of personal preference on styling. TE37s are certainly timeless, but they're also not for everyone.
