Interesting.

The event schedule shows a bmw press conference on weds. 11/20 . Likely the same conference we linked with all of the spelling mistakes .

But it would be great to know the full details - price - ordering - etc as soon as possible

You are probably right. I was thinking the cars would be available to view at the start of this event, but more likely revealed on the 20th, which is pretty much the start of the LA show. Tricksters

  • 12.8 for 0-200 km/h
In this thread, I averaged the test results from multiple European publications to compare the relative acceleration between the different M4 variants. Results below:

8.65 M4 cs (4 samples)
.... ∆ 0.20
8.45 M4 GTS (2 samples)

First, I think this dispels the rumours that the CP is not any quicker than the base model, having a ~0.2 second advantage from 100 to 200km/h. Second, it also shows how the CS pulls quite strongly in the top end, being ~0.7 seconds faster than the CP and only ~0.2 seconds short of the mighty water injected GTS. Which is in line with the conclusion reached when looking at the power charts .

The lack of functional front fender vents continues to be embarrassing. BMW should have left them off from the beginning. Beautiful car otherwise.

Nothing yet. The only seemingly reliable conversion I seem to see is that us prices about 10.5% higher than UK OTR prices. This seems to shrink a bit as price increases. Puts it at $83k or pretty spot on previous estimate of 85k.

My deposit was left back in Feb and the MSRP was set to $70K and it is subject to change.

If I had to guess, somewhere between $75-78K realistically.

Ideally, this car should be in the $70-75 range.

"Word Premier", "Gran Coup" and "in future". Does BMW proofread its texts ?
Wow another new model! The BM2 CS!
Honestly, who proofed this? This is like those emails I send when I come home from the bar drunk, but remembered I had some work I needed to do.
Spelling fail: three mistakes in the title. What the heck were they smoking ?
It's still online with all spelling mistakes.

That would be a great price, but I am guessing it won't come in that low - BMW would have to admit (with that pricing model) that the previous approach on the M3/4 CS was far too big of a premium over the M3/4 Competition Pack cars.

Do we know for sure if the pricing for the U.S will be announced during the LA Auto Show reveal?

Let's hope price is announced at LA Auto Show especially if ordering is to begin in January or February for March production. Pricing has to be announced shortly you would think. The M8 price was announced a month or two prior to production.

I'm surprised that the US price has not leaked by now. Makes me think it won't be released tomorrow. Or they've kept it very close to the chest.

Can you get a really close up pic of hat and rotor? I can't seem to zoom in on these pics. Might be just my phone

Edit: got it, was able to download from other thread.

The new M2 CS looks amazing with all the CF parts. Not sure about the gold wheels, as many others have stated. Excited to see it on the roads though!

If they sold this for 70-75k USD, it would be perfect. An instant sell out success and instant classic.

But if they sell it for 85-90k USD, you'd see a ho-hum reception, a lot of orders cancelled and this end up going for 5k discounts ala the M3/M4 CS failures.
