Oh my bad bro. Def. wasn't trying to accuse or say your post was false and we all appreciate the information you shared. I'm just trying to sort through all the inconsistent information going on.

It's all good! This is super frustrating for everybody, but it's got to be more so for the people that are getting absolutely no direct feedback or accommodation from their local dealers.

Hi Paddy, thanks for the information. Without you, I would feel confused as hell.
Just got the text message from then sale manager in dealership today -“Parts will begin to be available around the 27th”.

This is good news! And another data point that suggests next week and the earlier flyer being indeed true!

Exactly, just want to point out two key words here to avoid any confusion
“Around”: it does not mean that it will be here on 27th
“Available”: not sure if it means it is available to order or will be arriving at dealerships

Please share the name of ur dealership. I would never step my feet into that store. Horrible customer service
My dealer is Fields BMW in Northfield IL

This comment was in regard to what Logan Passera of BMWNA told me over the phone.

The flyer is fake, there's no estimate for parts - according to BMWNA. I don't know what the difference in information is between dealers and BMW themselves, but neither of mine know anything at all.

Be real here, the 27th is Memorial Day. As much as I want it to be done ASAP, it's not gonna be then.

Totally, I think 5/27 is NOT a hard and fast completion date by any means, but probably an approximate date when parts will generally arrive (give or take). And it looks like the repair time itself is 1hr - which is nothing.

My dealer doesn't know anything either. He sends me screen shots weekly of what he's got to go on and it's little or nothing and still shows there's no remedy available.

The BMWNA actually told me that the dealership have daily updates and more information than them. Anyways, I will make sure I would never use the dealership u mentioned. They should provide different options than refusing to return ur money.
Also, my dealer did mention that 27th Memorial Day and they are open on ahhh date. Moreover, he only told me that it would be “around “ 27 th.
What is ur plan now? Any new cars ?

Right on! Is your car stalled at one of the coastal processing centers or is it at a dealership?

My car is in dealership at early May. I was supposed to pick up 2 weeks ago. The no sale recall prevent the dealer from delivering the car.

Update, Parts are available and ready to order on the 27th!!! Shipping time will determine when you can get the car. Sold cars are first in line. Hope that helps and is probably the reason why you cant find the remedy in the BMW sites because the part is not associated with it yet until made available for order on the 27th. My SA just updated me!!!

Does the CA need to order the parts, or should the system automatically allocate based on status being "sold"? Any idea? Wondering if I need to be on top of my CA or not.

Defintely contact your CA so he can ensure parts initiate the order is thats what needs to occur. I wouldnt rely on the parts department of the bmw systems alone to perform the part order. The CA can put some fire under them!!!!

Let's also remember the rest of the world doesn't celebrate Memorial Day and it's likely BMW AG is sending parts that day. Not to mention most dealerships and stuff are open for business as it's a major "sale holiday."

Got to check out my car today and my CA hinted at parts coming in next week, but stopped short of confirming the 5/27 date. Pretty sure he's one to under promise and over deliver, so we'll see what happens. He also noted the software recall was already completed.

Anyone else hear anything?

My CA said the exact same thing as yours. Let's see how things turn out next week! I am counting on next weekend's delivery!

I was in Munich and got an e-mail the day before my ED that I wouldn't be able to pick up the car. They gave me an M140i to drive around for 5 days and when I was in Italy I got the call that a fix had been identified for the airbag and applied to my car. Unfortunately I was across the alps from Munich but I was able to get back to Munich the day before our flight out and drive the M2 for one day. Was good. Now it's on a boat for the long wait to get to California.

Re: Software recall - Yeah, it was mentioned in an earlier post. Not sure what it was about but it was a much easier update and apparently minor.
