Nice Build! Do you have more pictures of the sests? How is the seating Position in comparison to the stock one? Is it lower?

The seating position and height is identical to the lowest setting for the M2 Competition's original M3/M4 style non-competition seat. With that said, the original seat gave my left leg cramps after about a 45 minute drive as it's too couch-like. The foam/cushioning of the Recaro is much harder/denser so I don't get cramps anymore.

I opted for the German made Recaro Sportster and being TUV approved means that the seats has to be kept at original height for all the seat belts/restraints/air bags/anti-submarining etc etc systems to work. If you insist on a lower seat, then the Japanese Recaro Sportster is a viable option and it also comes standard with heated seats. It sits about 1" lower than the German counterpart. But for me, the stock seat belt will be cutting into my neck. For both the German as well as the Japanese Recaro Sportster, the seat bracket/rails are identical.

Cheers,
Sunny

Great build, ashtaron14.

Can you tell me what you used to black out the axleback/exhaust?

Thank you

Great build.

I might end up going with these Recaro's as well, the standard seats give me a similar pain over long drives and I think it could in fact have something to do with the seat cushion being too soft. How tall are you btw? I'm 6' 3" so thinking to look for the Japanese Recaro Sportster that you mentioned for the slightly lower seating position. But, I'm guessing that might be a challenge to find in the states?

I'm shorter than you but my back isn't so good so I prefer a seat that's less sofa. I didn't have this issue with the E90 M3. It's only in the M2C where I really wanted a different seat.

Other than the German version, there's actually a lot of options.

The Japanese Recaro Sportster recently had an overhaul and they have added a hand pump for the lumbar support and there's also an optional electric adjustment for the reclining

The Recaro Sportster GT is exclusive to the US market

Awesome work just like on the e90. Cool to see a fellow e9x member in an M2C.

Amazing! I didn't know you could get a CF roof for the M2. Enjoy!

Very high quality, and looks amazing...

Can you please comment on the Autosolutions SSK? and that Turner shifter bushing?

I just purchased the bushing and was curious if it makes any difference...

This spec so hard. I still don't know why BMW never gave the OG and M2 Comp Carbon roofs in the first place smh

Just love the 2-series coupes. Like the past 128i, 135i, and 1-series M, they are quintessential BMW. Can't say the same for the new 2-er GC, though.

Can you please do something to improve the incredibly dull look of the rear? Then you can send pics to BMW.

I regret not ordering BSM like I initially wanted. The maintenance is a bitch but I don't care... And yet I still let myself be talked into HS. Which I do like, but black w the gold 763 is by far my favorite combo. So based off just that alone I love this build, never mind the rest!

Say what you want: a lot of thought went into this build. Not my cup of tea, but nicely executed.
