That time seems super fast for Sebring. Just checking if that's a typo.

When will you guys be at Homestead next? I'd love to get the car back out there. I'm uploading some footage of our car at Sebring last May now.

I'm out of town the weekend of the 15th otherwise I would've been there as well!

Here's a short session from last May when our car was stock. We killed the stock pads in less than 4 sessions on track. Sorry for the crap quality, it was taken with my phone jammed between the passenger headrest and seat

Hey guys,

The next date on HMS is looking like 5/13. If you guys can make it, that would be cool.

I'll try my best. Our car may be going under the knife again shortly but if it's available I'll be out there.

VIR Full Course, 2 April

Stock tires & suspension
Only mods: GC camber plates, Hawk DTC70 pads, 4 point belts

First ever time at VIR, so still on learning curve, but 2:12.3 best during Sunday instructor session (light but non-zero traffic)

That's basically going to be my setup. Did you notice a difference in turn in before and after camber plates?

Are you running the Schroth Quick Fit Pro from E82/E92 M3?

Thoughts on DTC70 with oem tires? Seems like those pads would easily overwhelm the stock tires.

Camber plates - Didn't do a before (track) so can't really say. The plates cost about the same as 2 new front tires, so I just put them in based on previous BMW experiences. On for street, after alignment at very close to 0- with -2.75, certainly better in roundabouts, but that could've been toe as well as camber. Was all about tire wear for me, but better turn in seems intuitive looking at wear across the whole tire versus just the edge. Just a thought, no proof.

Belts - Yup, those are the ones I'm using. Not certified for the F87 BTW, but clips right in. And out. Nice.

Brakes - Brakes were STRONG all weekend. Bet you could easily engage ABS on the stock Michelins if you wanted to do that, but wasn't an issue I had to manage or even consider. The big discs provide a pretty impressive moment arm for torque, and I'm thinking pad choice will be less critical than my E36, where I needed all the torque I could get. This car stops well. Stock fluid and lines BTW. No issues

I've done 2 events without camber plates, turn in was awesome (unlike BMM M cars of old) on stock alignment. I don't appear to have excess tire wear on the shoulder either. I just ordered plates but not really sure if this car needs them since it doesn't understeer on the factory alignment.

I have DTC60's and 70's to test, will start with 60's first and I'm running RBF600 fluid.

Also got the Quick Fit Pro coming, so I can use my H&N restraint.

Taking it very easy while I learn my way around the ring. 9min50s...
The track is really difficult to memorize. IŽll go there again next week.

How is that camera mounted? Cool angle too bad the go pro is overexposing everything's outside the car.

It is mounted on the center roof light. Would be better with a small extension. I'll do some experiments ahead of next week and will let you know what setup works best to avoid the overexposure (if I get to solve the issue at all).

Sebring is one scary track. Would love to do another session at homestead with Leduardol to see the real difference with the camber plates.
