It would make more sense if this was a BTG time
That CSL was not stock.
As you can see in the vid, it was a full lap.

M2 has 245F and 265R tyres (19")
M4 Comp 265F and 285R tyres(20")
this in collaboration with est. 100whp more makes the M4 Comp a staggering 0.3 s faster than the M2 @ British track where Steve Sutcliffe tested the 1M vs M2 vs M4 Comp and at Hockenheim Short.

Wow and a deep bow to the M2(and 1M)

The M4 Comp as tested was> 108k euros, almost double the price of an M2 in Germany.

Nuff said.Party Time.

Edit, couldn't find the cow but found the chicken!

Cheers

For anyone familiar with the 'Ring and the recent changes, how many seconds do you think the flattened section (to avoid accidents due to lift) is worth for a good driver? Seems like pre-revision lap times need an asterisk to assist in comparing times before & after the change.

I did not watch the vid but if it did that car is far from stock....

Apparently, the official time for a e46 CSL is 7:50

In the meantime they have already canceled those "speed limited" sections. So there are no longer any speed limits.

M4 Competition is still 5k cheaper than the Merc. Not as fast in a straight, but much better on track.
I'm curious if they will release an M2 Competition or even a more hardcore one, a GTS version...
Than the track times between the M brothers will be switched with the little one being on top!

Track was also a degree or two warmer than the minimum operating temp of the Michelin PSS.

And the M2 was a manual, while the CP M4 was DCT. Also, watch the video for a great example of what I like to call F8x-face.

Every video I see of someone driving an F80x M with intent, their face looks like someone who has made the third date curry mistake and is sitting in their girl's bathroom trying to take the quietest crap of their life. It's a combination of deadly seriousness, combined with underlying dread of the consequences of fucking up. Compare and contrast with the videos of everyone driving an M2 hard and not being able to stop smiling and/or laughing. CP owners can have their extra 0.3s quite frankly, there will always be a faster car so I'd rather have the most fun car, which still happens to be faster than 99.99% of cars I'll actually see on the road.

There were speed limits, but I'm talking about the actual, physical change they've make to the course to "flatten" it over this section to prevent more accidents happening from cars getting light (and possibly lift) over the hump where the GTR had the fatal crash.

Seems like the change must be worth a little time as cars can now stay on power for longer over this stretch.

Maybe it's negligible, but when we're comparing so many cars from so many generations, any variation to the course like this is worth mentioning.

I'm not aware of physical changes they made to those sections. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think they have not changed anything...
