I am still surprised they don't offer a silver wheel option. Is this the first time on a BMW model where you cannot? |

I think AW with black wheels and red calipers and black with gold wheels and gold calipers works best. It would have been great to see a nice M specific red with either the black wheels/red calipers or the gold wheels/gold calipers combination.
I can't get over the fact it is a blue that is used on X2's and Z4's. Even though it gives a total different impression than on either of those cars, I have not seen the M2 CS live yet, so I am looking forward to what the sun does to it. On either the Z4 and X2, the color is so bleh in real life... There is no dept or special flake in the color like LBB or HS. It is just blue blue blue, like the smurfs. Still, the car starts to grow on me, but I would never swap my M2C for it. Having bought that one at 66K EUR and knowing that this would cost me in excess off 100K EUR (without any discounts), I am like auch. That is 50% more, but the car is not 50% better. The M2C is such a bargain now. The car is offered in so many markets with around 15% discount that you really wonder why anyone would opt for a M2 CS. You have to be a collector or completely mental to order one of these. MR |

Like any other commodities in the world, it doesn't really take being 50% better to demand 50% more. In the end, however hard a competition tries to be a CS, it will not be it and only end up costing more.

The only scenario I finally get a CS over a Comp (I might change my mind) is if they don't sell them for that ludicrous price tag and they start throwing discounts. In my mind: - Love this car, but it is not a 100k car. - I've tested, is awesome (not the CS), but let's face it, the interior has some lack of premium quality (Have a Rover, not talking about options, just details like for example how armrest or doors slams, not mentioning how bad BMW handles the leather, after a few uses looks like a diaper) - If pay it, pretty sure that won't be like the 1M which is still holding its price (will it?) - can't justify to me to spend 45k moreover a comp. Plus, if willing to, now I have very cool parts to retrofit (and remaining budget) - it's funny, is the car I want and for around 70k I think it's an excellent purchase, but for 100k I might be someone with a lack of perspective or limited budget (was that the best you could get for that money?) |

Not feeling the gold wheels on any of the colors really, but it looks terrible on the silver. Imagine how good the silver would look with those wheels in gunmetal or maybe even graphite.
