I replied to your PM, 19x , but wanted to add more here now that I see this thread.

The Carbonio allows you to adjust it "in or out" quite a bit. I left mine standing away from the bumper, maybe half an inch to an inch, just for better airflow and because I didn't want a minor tap on it to push the plate into the bumper. That said, Carbonio supplies a couple little rubber bumpers that they tell you to stick on the back of the plate (or maybe the mount itself) just for this possibility, to protect your paint. So you could definitely slide it back really close to the bumper if you want.

In my experience, with it standing proud a bit, it literally never moved, even after driving "in mexico" at high speeds (100+). I've never gone through a carwash with it on though (because I've never had the car in a carwash, period). But as I mentioned via PM, my mount rusted over time too, which is my biggest complaint about it. Ohio no longer requires a front plate as of July 1 2020, so I took mine off and plan on never using it again. In the event that I did need a front plate again, I'd probably buy the new / revised version of the Carbonio mount, and maybe ask them if they could make one out of aluminum or stainless or something to help with the rust problem.

Oh, and one perk of the Carbonio over that Bell thing (linked to amazon above / pictures) - Carbonio uses all 4 holes on a US-spec plate, fully supporting it. It's also 10x more expensive though...
