Had a great day again on the track. Managed to improve my best time by 2 seconds! I like the Westlake Sport RS tyres, they are easy to handle on the edge.

Finally on Friday i collected my car. It was a long 6 hours trip from my workplace to the dealership but it worthed it.
The car had only 3 km on the clock so i was very happy with it.

Everything went well, the sound of the car is much better than in the Youtube videos. This is my favorite part about it so far, since it is still running in.
Right after take over i installed some masking tape on the front of the car to prevent stone chips, it will get some paint protection next week. I asked the dealership to leave the transport protection tape on too.

I ordered some M Perf. accessories too, which are installed inside. Namely the carbon steering wheel insert, alu pedal set, handbrake handle and the illuminated alu gear shift knob. With these the interior looks very unified.
Other part i ordered is the side spoiler which i will install after the paint protection film.

After the long trip back i was very satisfied with the car. Since then i got used to the iDrive too which i did not have in my previous E46 so it was new for me.
I have a question for you more experienced guys regarding TPMS. Is it possible to put it on split screen? Earlier i saw pictures that it was there but i can not set it up in this iDrive. What am i missing?

The next day i installed the door seals. It was quite an easy job.

And also installed the RKP rear spoiler. it look s fantastic IMO.

Finally on this day i installed my mirror integrated dash cam. It gets power from the front roof interior lights connector. It took some time to remove the panel but finally everything is working properly.

This will be the end for today but i will keep posting my further updates in the future since i have some plans and accessories in my inventory already.
How long did it take you to tape the front? I'm considering doing the same to mine when I pick it up before PPF but I feel like I might be going overboard, especially if it takes me ages to do it haha

Well, it was a long time ago, but as i remember it didn't take a long time, less than 30 minutes, especially if you get some help and use a wider masking tape.

Today i installed the MMR OCC kit. It's better quality than the BMS OCC kit and looks way better in the engine bay.
Also received some MMR dress up and functional bits, like billet oil filter housing, magnetic diff plug, magnetic oil sump plug, and oil thermostat cover.
I will install them on my next oil change, which is due in a 1000 km.

Today we were at the Fritzenfest car meet and I measured my car at a portable dyno there. It showed 362 HP and 639 Nm at the wheels. These are in conform with my own previous measures which were made with OBD+VBox+Racechrono.
My only surprise was that this dyno (V-tech VT-2) measured only 8.3% loss on the drivetrain, which seems a bit low for me based on other's experience. With this number my crank Hp is 395. If i calculate with a more usual 15%, then my crank is around 426 HP.
After my last service visit I also switched back to 91RON map, because it holds power much better above 6000 RPM and it's visible on my chart too.
Also my car won a second place in the beauty contest and I had some exhaust loudness measurement and it showed 123,7 dB.

After 2 months break due to some foreign work i have some time again to deal with my Bimmer.
The next project will be to install the Zunsport sport grille to reduce debris to the radiators and the IC. Will install it in the following days as time allows, stay tuned.

Today i had the opportunity to install the Zunsport grilles. The installation procedure was quite easy and can be done in a short time. The fitment is perfect and i think the look is also great with the smaller holes.

Today I did an oil change so i had the opportunity to install some accessories which I've bought in September. They are the MMR Performance oil thermostat cover dress up kit, the MMR Performance billet oil filter housing and the MMR Performance magnetic oil sump plug. Here is the result.

After some winter brake i got some new parts for the next season. It will be time for a front brake disc change so i bought the EBC front set and I'm planning to change the brake pistons also at the same time.
For some visual upgrade i acquired a blue tow strap too.

Great read!

How's your plasti dipped front grille holding up?

I probably do the same as it's really cost efficient haha

Thanks.

It holds up very well, still no need to repaint it.
For good effect make sure to apply several layers then it will be durable.

My bumper had to be welded and repainted because my front splitter got stuck on a roadside. It's a shame but this can happen with low splitters.
Anyway, for the new one i've ordered the TRE winglet style splitter, but it will take a few weeks to arrive.
Meanwhile for the front brake disc change i had to take the car to a service, because the disc bolts were stuck so i couldn't change it myself.
These EBC discs look good, I hope they will perform well with RP1 pads too.

After a long wait finally the brake piston kit arrived so i installed it at the weekend.
Fits perfectly and i hope it will perform well too.
The factory dust boots were totally gone.

After a long wait due to production delay i received some good stuff from AutoID. First step was the installation of the oil and expansion caps. They look gorgeous.
Tomorrow i will install the TRE front lip.

It's been a while since my last post, but I hadn't got time and opportunity to develop my car recently.
But today i changed the oil in the differential (MSPA) and the manual transmission (MTF-LT5) and also installed on these the magnetic drain plugs I've bought previously.
The fluid in the trans was full black after 55t Km, so it worth to change.
Also i installed the Turner transmission shaft rear bushing. Now the gear change is a bit louder but more solid too.

It took a while for the next upgrades, but here are my newest mods:
- I bought a WiFi Enet adapter so i don't always need a cable.
- I bought the speed limit info retrofit box and coded up the car. It works well, it uses the map database since I don't have KAFAS2 camera just the base for High beam assistance.

This entire thread is like a wish list. I'm especially interested in these.

I can recommend them, they look good and filter good. Much less debris on the radiators.

I don't see them listed for the OG M2, but I guess they're the same as for the Comp?
