If I remember right, it works by reducing the manifold pressure reading. So what you get is effectively more boost to hit the OEM target. I think the best we can expect is the max boost which is perhaps 1-1.5 additional psi at ~6K RPM if you're running 93oct. It should provide more gains down low though depending on how the device maps RPM to signal. My guess is 335whp on 91 and 350whp on 93.

Decided on no turbo upgrade for now, just got the car.
Told my friend in the US, who is helping me grab everything and help me get to Taiwan, SP Engineering to contact you Mike and please help them know which JB4 and options I need.
1. IPE boss getting me both titanium cat and no cat downpipe to try, which one should I use?
2. Is Intercooler recommended? If so, which one?
3. Can you get discount for Rogue items? cuz I'm probably getting
Rogue Engineering Monoball Front Tension Arm Bushing
Rogue Engineering Adjustable Swaybar Links Front and Rear

Thx...

I thought all modern turbo cars used load based tuning now that would make something like this worthless?

Load with air-flow as a factor. BMW wants a consistent power delivery, across elevations and temperature ranges. If the turbo PSI is not maxed out, then the reduced air pressure reading should increase PSI (up to max allowed by the ECU). So most gains for this setup should be seen at sea level, in cold weather.

Think of this device as unlocking BMW's artificial power restriction when air is dense and cold, because the turbo is not working as hard under those conditions.
