Reviving this old thread - our M2 is right at 15K miles after a year.
Are there any true high mileage M2s out there? And if so, how are they holding up?

I was guessing there would be some in the 40-50k range by now.

Bought my 2018 w/ 3500 miles on it on May 8th of 2018.
Now has 29,717 miles. Uses zero oil. (change it every 4K miles) Had 2 very brief CEL's both for a misfire - turned car off - fired back up and gone. Had a horn issue - one of the two stopped working - sounded like an old Plymouth - replaced under warranty. Only other thing was a really weird gremlin that I posted maybe 6 months ago (and you may not believe this one). Fired up the car one morning and the windshield wipers would not go off - turned off the car a few times - same deal. On my way up to the dealer on a bright sunny day (w/ the windshield wipers still going - embarrassing) - hit the horn and the windshield wipers stopped - fine ever since. Told ya you wouldn't believe it. |

Picked up my 2017 M2 "The Honey Badger" with 3900 on the clock, immediately drove 3000 miles to get home. That was back in April 2017.
Just passed the 37,000 mile mark last week with the same smile on my face as the first time I got in the car. I dont commute either (work from home) so those are all fun, road-tripping, and kid-shlepping miles! Last edited by ddk632; 03-06-2019 at 03:09 AM.. |
