CEL with error codes 102001, 118002, 118401

I have a 2017 M2 that is completely stock and has 26k miles. Yesterday when I started it up, it showed a CEL and there was some shaking during idle. When accelerating, there is noticeably less power.

The codes shown under Digital Engine Electronics are:
  • 102001 Air mass, plausibility: air mass too high
  • 118002 Mixture control: Mixture too rich
  • 118401 Mixture control: Mixture too learn, large deviation
Has anyone run into this before? I have a service appointment on Friday but am trying to see if I can figure out what's going on before then.

I wonder if a cracked charge pipe would throw those codes?

That's my suspicion...

Before I looked up the codes I thought it might be bad gas or a loose gas cap - I filled up with Shell 92 (tank was about half empty) and double-checked the gas cap was secure.

SOLVED (cracked chargepipe)

After reading about the N55's chargepipe issues, I took a look under the hood and confirmed that's the issue.

I got a similar error when mine broke last Tuesday...

Just be grateful that you're still under warranty; I found out today that the dealer charges a little under a $1,000 replace it, out of pocket, with an OEM plastic pipe.

$1000 for an OEM replacement??

If I have any issues with it again, I'm definitely getting a better one...

My VSRF aluminum CP costs $585 installed - better part and almost half the price - this from an Indy service center.

Shit I think I threw mine away after I upgraded, I would have just given it to you. But we all know it wouldn't make sense to replace it with a plastic piece that will just break again.

Thanks, that's really really nice of you to offer but didn't want to be tasked with replacing that piece anyways; it's like 95 degrees here and it looks like a bitch of a job to R&R, with no help.

My factory warranty just expired but I happen to have Geico's Mechanical Breakdown insurance coverage, of which they're footing the bill.

I just saw the paperwork and was not too surprised, since my dealer's labor rate is $180 an hour.. You figure $500 for the plastic pipe plus extra hardware and another $500 for labor.

Supposedly, BMW revised new OEM version, so I doubt it will pop again but if it does, I'm going aluminum, with a custom heat-reject wrap.

Below, a juxtaposed pic of original vs revised OEM pipe, with a supposed enhanced lip:
