Welcome to the group. We bought ours new off the dealer lot in April 2018. Taken it on a trip from the East Coast to Chicago, and other local day trips. It really is a fantastic car.

I also upgraded from a WRX -> M2. Congrats RWD, interior quality and proper suspension will blow you away.

This issue is not overblown, I wiped my dash with a clean microfiber and an interior cleaner shortly after purchasing my car and noticed more scratches and stopped. I then found a the forum thread.

I don't notice the scratches often but when the sun shines the right way, it's noticeable.

Highly recommend the bypass because it improves the sound quality. 2nd time installing it and noticing a big improvement. Technic Bypass Harness

Mineral gray looks great on the M2! I borrowed a friend's 2016 STi for a road trip to SF last Fall, that's not a quiet freeway car haha.

I highly recommend disabling ASD too, I did it with the Bimmercode app.
