Finally! Some VRSF HD Race Intercooler Logs
We've been bombarded by requests for logs of our new stepped HD Race core and we finally received some logs from one of our customers with a N55. This is currently the largest intercooler available for the Fx N55 and the data is incredibly promising.
The logs were taken in 75 degree temps during a 2-4 gear pull. The initial pull starts at 89 degrees and jumps down to 86 degrees by the end of the run. |

Our customer was nice enough to provide us with his latest logs from a 4-6 pull from 40-160 MPH. The intercooler starts @ 69 degrees and ends up at 87 degrees at the top of 6th. That's a 18 degree rise over the 3 longest gears running 20psi.

Does anyone in the business do this - make an aftermarket FMIC that is close to OEM one in dimension but only with a much higher density core, which is intended to work with stock boost?
Try a supersized FMIC without alter the throttle characteristic and the lag is noticeable.

We make a stepped HD street intercooler which is closer to what you're looking for.
http://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-upgrade...2-f87-n55.html We have quite a few reviews out for our race FMIC and not one of them notice a difference in lag or throttle response nor is it displayed in logs. Last edited by Tiago@VRSF; 11-23-2016 at 10:26 PM.. |

Tiago…i have your 5”. Not looking to upgrade yet but can you clarify…This fits the M2 without mods & were there back to back pulls, not just 1…Having say (3-4) pulls back to back would help us & show better data..
My 5” sits about 10deg above ambient most of the time and gets pretty warm when stopped..5 min of cruising cools it back down. |

But the racecore is going to be the best you can get on this platform. The issue you will run into is making it fit, it will require the bumper removal and possibly using washers to space out the support brace in the front. |
