Expert mode is in German, but even in English the options would be confusing , look to the forum for advice when using it.

The standard mode is very fun to use, you can browse every module and easily code the options you want. You can do quite a bit in the standard mode.

(I had a windows laptop running the tune but I really hate that thing so was trying to see if I can use an app for coding.) I was trying to use a bunch of usb3.0 adaptors and change how Android interpreted how to interact with what was connected.

Being in Cali and having the social distancing and wfh in effect, I have had much more time to drive the fun car(m2c) but realized how much of a literal headache I get with the fake sound.

Thank you for the link, ordering now!
Unfortunately no dice with this tried with a pixel 3 and a pixel 4.

What's the issue. Where / when is it failing?

Is it just Bimmercode not working or do the other bundled OBD device generic apps not work either?

If you think its the phone, haven't you got some old junk phone in a drawer somewhere to try it with??

I am unsure if it's the phone as I currently use Bluetooth a lot for video conferencing due to this pandemic and work from home orders.
The issue is that after I pair via Bluetooth, the device disappears and my phone doesn't seem to think it can pair anymore(it's still in the list of known devices, it just won't connect). It remembers the device but never seems to see it as available after the initial connection. Tried turning it off, rebooting, etc. No dice .
These are the only 2 Android phones in my possession. I also have an old iPhone but that would defeat the purpose as it wouldn't be connecting via Bluetooth , right?

It's definitely not bimmercode, my thought is that it's some new safety mechanism on the software side on newer Android phones.

iphone still uses BT but BM3 recommend some different dongles for IOS v Android, some do both others not.

I take it you are trying this with the dongle plugged into the OBD port and the vehicle ignition ON?

On the dongle I use there is a pairing button to press.

I've used several phones and tablets, but my latest phone is android 9 no problems.

That is correct. I paired the devices successfully but after initial pairing, its like the obd2 dongle doesn't exist. The blue light signaling bluetooth is still on. And I can remove it as a known device and re-pair it but the issue with my device continuing to see it happens again. I wish their iOS app worked on my macbook too.

I have a feeling its some new security thing in android that is preventing it from connecting to the bluetooth device.

Anyone did amber delete in the headlights for either an LCI or Competition? Just trying to see if it works, going to try it tomorrow anyways but was just curious.

Has anyone with a 2020 (or w the most recent software update from BMW) M2C done the convenience entry/exit? I'm very interested in this, but am nervous to experiment with expert mode and don't want to bother attempting if it's not going to work. Thanks in advance!

guys,

i finally got my dongle and was able to code the following which I wanted:

1) remove warning screen at startup
2) folding mirrors with convinience entry
3) angel eyes brightness (LOVE that!!)
4) VLD
5) Video play with USB and when driving

what I haven't found or can't figure out is:

* How do I disable the amber light for general driving and only have it come on when putting the turn signal?

I looked at all the different modules and couldn't find it. Is it in the front controller module? or is it an expert mode setting (if so, which one)?

Good stuff!

Just a note to anyone that wants to do this coding, make sure no one is sitting behind you/uses the back seat or their legs could get crushed.

Even my 4 year old can barely get out of the car when my seat goes back 😋 but it is very helpful when it's just me in the car.

From my understanding, sometimes the "read" of the default isn't a direct 1:1 so what BimmerCode sees isn't actually the current value from the factory until you choose an option. In these instances it won't show the actual value until you choose a new value and apply it.

I could be wrong so if anyone sees this please correct me but that was my understanding.

THIS!

and sharpmoney : I played with it a week ago when I got my dongle, and I can tell you that I'm beyond happy by applying it to 100%. it's so perfect, even with the headlights on, it blends seemlessly

There is, just search F series coding cheat sheet.

However it really applies for ESYS as there are some coding features that you cannot do with bimmer code.

Query: For anyone running rear DRL's-- are you running the outer or the inner?

Bimmercode has options for both.

Also, has anyone fired their front DRL's to 100% when the low beams come on? Any issues with that?

TIA--
