I just picked up my 2020 M2C alpine white exec package 6spd for just under $61,000. It took roughly 2.5 months since initial order to get delivered from Germany.

I argue that the m2 market has softened but a couple local dealers don't want to budge .

I’m not getting this market. I have a 2019 with 3500 miles and I can’t sell it for 53,000. The market has def softened.

Because 8000 is like 10 months of payments. Plus you are gonna lose 10k in the first year on the 2020.

I mean I wish I bought a low mileage 2019 so I didn’t eat the 10k in a year. That 8k difference is 14% more. I dunno but I’d rather have the exact same car and save the money.

Also you aren’t getting hit with dealer fees and what not And it’s still under warranty for 3 years or 46500 miles.

I dunno. Maybe people are thinking like you though. Hence the market.

What the **** does that mean? See that jab was unwarranted. For ME this car is not worth the money I pay for it. I will get a car for a similar price point after I sell it.

Don’t you worry about my finances there buddy and keep your sh!t comments to yourself next time

Throwing away 10k doesn't make you smart. I dont get that argument. The car isn't that special or desired, so why not save a few bucks?

Lmao. You must love wasting money. Maybe you still live with your parents. That’s cute if you do. I own two homes so again, Don’t you worry about my finances.

10k is significant amount of money on a 60k car. Maybe I can help you with math there lad.

If you wanna burn your 10k that’s on you. For me even though I have it it was a stupid financial decision. But hey. If you like throwing away money that’s on you. I’ll see you on the street during retirement.

Stop assuming sh!t you don’t know son.

You said it yourself. It’s a toy. So why do you wanna lose 10k on a toy? This isnt a gt3. You make zero sense. You sound like someone who leases one of these, lol. I’m done arguing with a child.

It's nearing Christmas, selling cars at this time is not easy. Color, options, and transmission play a huge role in the resale.

I got a brand new 2020 for $60,000 out the door, over $4000 off sticker on the car. The warranty is transferable to 2nd owners, but the maintenance plan is not. I would have seriously looked at buying used if, when I got mine, there were some Comps near me for less than $55k. For me, I spent the extra $5k on a brand new one, in the exact color I wanted with the options I wanted. Seemed like a no brainer to me. $53,000 seems like it's in a good spot. Just leave it up, and be patient, it should sell.

As for the other guy, he is a troll. Idk what owning a house has to do with anything, as I don't, I live in an apartment... Not sure how it's relevant.

Yeah I hear ya. $4000 off sticker is clutch. I wish I got that deal when I got mine. It’s funny cause I’m selling to get an Alfa qv which is in the exact same price point. I honestly don’t know what slowm2c is taking about. This is my 6th m car. Maybe I’m just M’d out for a bit.

I’ll stay strong and sell mine next year. On a side note I didn’t know maintenance was non transferrable. That just sucks.

I 100% could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain that the maintenance is not transferable. Hope your car sells. I'm in the same spot, trying to sell a car (not my M2) and it's been up for 3 weeks. Longest I've ever had a car for sale is a week. I firmly believe that it is due to the Holidays. Good luck with your sale!

interesting talk of used vs new. I have been watching used M2C pricing on 2019 and 2020 for several months.

First let me say that people selling used ones are all over the place on pricing and honestly some dont realize the obvious. They seem to sit for AWHILE and there is plenty of new and used inventory listed on car search sites.

Im looking at a 2019/2020 with DCT and paint upgrade, stickers for roughly 65k MSRP.

Used 2019 the best and what I see sell quickly is right at 50ish and for 2020 about 55-56. Though I feel these prices are dropping now in winter and with the 2021 on the horizon.

I vroom a value of a 2020 that someone was selling last week used had 2.1k miles and MSRP was 76k (dct, performance cat back bmw system, fiber, LBB). Vroom offered 48k. Talking with the person they were going to take 55-56. He wound up trading it in and they played with the numbers.

Just my 2c, take it with a grain of salt, but this is what Im seeing. Based on this, I plan on buying a lightly used non tracked unit if I go this direction.

Ok I’m going to assume your lease is 24 months. So you are paying 829 with 3k down. At the end of your lease you will have used 22,896 which is gone.

If you financed you could put zero down. Pay the same payments (assuming a good apr) and be out 19,896

I haven’t seen any m2c going for 40k after 2 years with low miles. Hell I don’t see many low mileage og m2’s at that price.

So assuming you sell the car for a really bad 47-48k just to move it wouldn’t you be up 7-8k or hell a minimum of 5k?

I know time is money but you are ok to basically burn A minimum of 5k. Maybe you are and just don’t care. If so then more power to you. Just seems financially stupid on a stupid financial decision (buying almost any new car)

60k loan for 48 months at .9 is 1,273 a month
60k loan for 60 months at .9 is 1023 a month

48500 loan for 60 months at .9 is 827 a month

829 a months on a purchase would require money down or a longer loan which doesnt have good aprs normally

72. 2.49 apr through a credit union. I knew I’d only keep the car for two years or less.

going back to one point you made on selling. you have been trying to sell your car for six months (your for sale post). On my point your car isnt worth the 52 and likely wont sell in the 50s or high 40s. His leasing might actual benefit him

edit: sorry about being blunt I dont beat around the bush and adhere to the KISS strategy

Possibly possibly. I’d say it’s worth the 52k but who knows. I’ll see how it goes next year and maybe trade it in. Prolly should have taken the 54,500 offer like 30 days ago.

Also I tried to sell my car WAY to soon. I didn’t even have it for a year so it was a losing situation. If I try to sell at the end of next year mid 40’s wouldn’t bother me at all.

These things took a HUGE dive I wasn’t anticipating. Whelp I’m still gonna buy a QV which took even more of a savage dive.
