So M2c with a more powerful engine is faster on track, BIG surprise.
The figures you show here is less than 1s/minute in a track. The driver will be a bigger time factor for sure. If you are tracking it will be a lot more cost effective to just buy new tires instead. Proper R-tyres alone can give you 2-4s/minute on track.

It is faster (and probably more reliable) car due to its cooling ability. Still both cars are great fun and I prefer looks and sound of my OG. Beauty is in eye of the beholder |

I don't play the racing game anymore, but I did take the green flag at big willow at 109 deg F air temp once. Cool shirt. FTW!

Those ducts make a huge difference. You've added a brake cooling solution that the car did not come with. Without them, the brakes on the OG M2 will overheat quickly at heavy braking tracks. |

It is amazing that BMW did not consider adding brake ducts...even as an mperformance part. I did a $50 DIY and it works great. After I added the ducts I converted to Stoptech front slotted rotors which claim to push 60% more air.

Yeah. Kinda looking for the forum wisdom on which front mount intercoolers are "decent".
Found what I was looking for: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1458121

Oh it's not about that at all, compare dicks with someone else. I'm talking as a general rule. The car is way too posh to be a serious track car in stock form. It's an upscale yuppie car made to feel fast, not be fast without serious work.

Anyone can turn a registered street car into a track only ride. Of course then you need to tow it, etc. BMW hasn't cared about putting its cars on a diet unless they can make more money (Carbon fiber parts) etc. I used to drive the BMW M Manager nuts 15+ years ago on this very subject.

And carbon fiber trash isn't a diet, most of the parts replaced by carbon are pretty light anyway, plastic, or aluminum in many cases. If you want light, you're going to have to work for it, from the ground up. |

The Elise's tub is tough to get into and out of but you wear it like a glove. I've driven and instructed in several of them including a SC and turbo... So its the complete opposite. Its a track car that can be used on the street, but Its got lots of issues as a dual use car... I always found it special it competed against C6 Vettes is the SS Class for Solo 2. A nimble kart it is!
