M2 CS delivery - USA / Germany (BSM - 6MT - M-CCB - GLD 763M - PSS)

First I want to thank my wife for making this possible and supporting me through such an impulse decision. Like she reads this thread...

Unlike most (assumption) I was not in the market for a car. I recently purchased a 2021 X7 40i for my wife (still waiting on delivery at the time of this post) and was not considering getting a new car for another year. I thought maybe I'd get a M5C or RS6... Wife agreed, save money for a year and we'd get me a car of my choosing to enjoy.

One random day, I saw a military sales ad for 2 remaining slots for the M2 CS. As a joke I blurted out to my wife and asked what she thought about me buying the car. To my disbelief, she said yes. Before she could change her mind I called my SA and asked if there were any slots available. My SA informed me 2 slots were still available and that there was a BSM-6MT-2NH-BLK 763M waiting to be delivered to another customer. My SA asked if I would like to come see it and I immediately agreed.

To my surprise my wife played along and came with me to see the car. As we approached the dealership I saw a 2021 M550i and a similar model right next to it on the lot. Even though the LCI was really nice to look at, it didn't strike me as anything special, it was rather just a plain luxury sedan with a hefty engine in my eyes.

I went upstairs and was greeted by my SA. He escorted me back downstairs and towards the garage in the back to show me the M2 CS that was awaiting delivery. On our way down I commented on the 2 new 2021 5-Series and my SA replied "Oh, that M5C is a sweet car yes?" I was shocked... How could I have overlooked the M5C that was sitting right next to that M550i?! Instead of making our way over to the M2 CS I had to go take another look at the 5-Series just to confirm my SA wasn't playing a trick on me. It was in fact a M5C... I was somewhat disappointed with myself for not knowing the difference right away.

We quickly made our way over to the M2 CS and the first person to comment on the car was my wife, "Wow, now this looks like a sports car, you should buy it."

I don't know what it was, it must have been the light in that garage because those hips and the aggressive front end just captivated me and I was sold. After my SA showed me the car for about 30 minutes I thanked him and told him I would give him an answer by the next day, thinking 24 hours would be enough for a $90k decision.

It sure was! The very next day I met with my SA, placed an order, signed papers and put 10% down.

Fast forward to a few days ago and I received a call from my SA letting me know my M2 CS was delivered a week early. I would have gone to see the car immediately however, I was a few hours away and the dealership was closing. I told my SA I would swing by the next day.

I spent all night thinking about the pictures I would take and post on Bimmerpost and drifted off to sleep... The day arrived, the moment I set my eyes on the car I got too excited and barely took any pictures and slipped away in the moment.

And no this is not a repost... That's my car in the back. So let's just call this just a few teaser pictures for now...

I know for some it's cheesy but a car this cool needs a nickname so I call her "Black Betty," because WHOA! ~~ Black Betty (Bam-ba-Lam) is exactly how I felt when I saw this car and believe it or not, I'm not even into the rock genre. I really I hope I can refrain from collecting any more tickets... On a side note for those that are curious to what I'll nickname the X7, it's "Big Bertha."

Well my M2 CS is still sitting at the dealership waiting to be trailered off to get a full Suntek Ultra PPF next week before I take delivery. Will post more pictures at that time but until then these will have to do.

No not at all. The black on black is a really great color combo, I just thought the CCBs with the gold rims were just A little bit more special. Seeing the car in person I’m glad I went with my color combo, just so darn stunning.

Car arrived safely for a full PPF, pictures for an update.

Interestingly, my installer let me know that Suntek will be taking some measurements of my car as there are some variances between the Competition and the CS. Templates should be ready by the time people in the States start taking delivery.

Great photos. We had an x7 as well but traded it in and got into an x5 45e. The dual black vehicles look menacing
