I really doubt it. We can't even confirm that the LCI pictures leaked by the bmw.be iPad web site are true LCI pictures

Come on, you can see them also on another mobile sites e.g. bmw.fr and bmw.pl. Do you think they would put these picures in so many sites just for fun?

yeah I think that's pretty clear now, as there are now multiple sites with those pictures
personally I really like the new headlights, not sure about the taillights…

So at first what you said sounded believable, but on second look, and by that I mean a look at official G30 photos from BMW, you are incorrect and the G30 full LED lights are indeed a strip as all other BMW LED lights have been to date.

What's more likely is that the 2er LCI doesn't get full adaptive LED headlights as standard. maybe not even as an option.

No he is right, I believe you misunderstood his point between optional adaptive LED vs standard LED on the G30 which are the projector type without the horizontal reflector in the middle. There is a thread about this on this forum i don't remember where and you can check that yourself by configuring a G30 with default LED and with adaptive ones like the one in your photo.

Why would the 2er not get adaptive LEDs if the 1er has them already?

Well I have to admit that I don't see any difference whatsoever ! This could just be a last minute attempt by BMW to persuade those who are waiting for the LCI to buy now and mop up the remaining stocks of pre-LCI before unleashing the new B58 equipped LCI model in speed yellow with full alcantara interior and black / yellow two tone bucket seats.

Just spoke to my dealer and it seems you are correct. It is a ruse by BMW to offload pre LCI. He confirmed what you said about the LCI. B58 400bhp, proper M mirrors, any custom colour you can think of, apart from purple as the people of Leipzig thinks it's an unlucky colour. The only downside is it only comes with DCT. No manual I'm afraid.
