It looks so similar... I really have to go back and forth. I'm glad. I'm assuming the engine comment above (s55) was a joke? Thats coming on the CS, not the LCI?

It looks like somebody at bmw.be was messing around with photoshop and somehow the photos made it to a production-facing version of their mobile site.

Who knows if we will get LED headlights or not, but for sure, these look like updated bi-xenons and not full LEDs.
There are two types of LED headlights, reflector and projector. The M4 LCI has
reflector LED headlights. The new 5 series has projector LED headlights. From what I
have read, projector LED headlights are better than reflector.

The M2 LCI pic looks like BMW is using projector LED headlights. The projector LED headlights also look better IMO.
Interesting, didn't know that about the new 5er.

I think I'm in the minority here. I actually don't like the new headlights that BMW is moving toward. I like the "traditional" circular lights and circular halos. I guess BMW has to do it because everyone has xenons and by default that means circular. They have to adapt the design due to technology influences on their competitors.

What I don't also like is.... LED headlights. Same reason - I find that in some circumstances I can't tell it's another BMW in my rear view.

Even the current M2 headlights aren't a perfect circle like older BMW models.

Hopefully the new headlights will help everyone in this forum see and predict better speculations to dwell on

I agree. It all started with those stupid "eyebrows" a few years ago. To me this will always be the classic face of BMW. If only BMW would remember.

I really like the new tails. In the front hard to tell the effect without more contrast to see the DRLs.

Have to see the tail lights lit up at night but not sure if I am liking them. Especially the position of the reverse light. But will need to see real life shots.

I personally prefer the pre lci headlights, not a fan of the hexagons. I'm sure in person they will give a bit more oomph but thank f*ck I didn't wait for the LCI if this is all they are going to do ... Phew!

Rears do look similar to the test mules we had been seeing. Why do they have to have the white strips? The M3/M4 doesn't.

If this I indeed the real deal then its improved the only real weakness on the non LCI for me and that was the ugly rear lights (other than the vertical reflectors).

Not too much wrong with the front lights anyway.

Will wait for the (imminent) official press release rather than believe this just yet.

IMHO Regardless of whether it's photoshopped or not, I don't think BWM would go to the hassle of updating the image if they weren't the final changes. It's what's been said on forum for a while. Lights and a very minor change inside. I'm guessing the additional colours won't happen either. If you were going to offer a new, popular colour i.e. "Austin Yellow" I think you would use it in your marketing photos. The CS might have a more aggressive front.

Were you waiting for the LCI and decided to buy the MY2016?

I like my version of the LCI better ;-D. At least it has proper full LED headlights plus a couple of new bits and pieces...

Can't wait to retrofit the lci tail lights to my f22 , I personally like the pre lci headlights, maybe because I coded the side markers off and increased the brightness, either way excited to see what the Lci brings
