DCT Downshifts

From some previous posts (which I can't find anymore) someone had mentioned that in manual mode, if the left paddle is held down, the DCT will downshift automatically through the gears in sequence.

I've tried this and it doesn't seem to behave like this on my car, where if I hold the paddle it will only go down 1 gear. Can someone confirm this for me?

Confusing the M2 for a 458

What you can do though is hit the push-down threshold via the accelerator pedal, which will downshift you into the lowest possible gear given your speed/RPM.

I had this happen in manual mode on my 340i and pressing throttle past kick down point. Great feature.

I think you have to hit the kick down then hold the paddle down for it to work if you're in sequential mode?
