Haha I'm calling a ZF8 speed from the X5/X6 M on this car.

That made me chuckle. You'd be totally right about that. I had to pull up a pic of the M logo, but it does look like it's the same light shade of blue as the stripes.

Even the X5M has that button, so it's hard to say. Either way, that sounds like everyone else's problem as I'm going 6MT

I'm sure the F15 X M cars have the DCT too??!!

I'd still say this is DCT in the M2, as you can see the ball under the shifter, whereas the ZF8 is just front to back movement..

Well the fact that the seats appear to be standard F2x seats is supremely disappointing, unless they've done some trickery with the backrest/headrest.

Mark me down as being back in the F80 camp...compounded by the fact that I was able to check out the cloth interior in an M4 this weekend and fell in love...

You guys get pretty worked up over some random picture with no proof of what car that actually is. For all we know that could be a very early prototype.

And no one noticed it has the actual M steering wheel, not just the M sport, but the actual M wheel. And the gear selector, is the official m one as well. This is basically an M car............ with a non M engine. Sire it's tuned but come on

No reason to throw in blue contrast stitching for the hell of it. They would have just ran it without if this wasn't going to be on the final product.

If you look on the left side you can see that the speedometer will also be grey like the M3/M4 have it ...

What's interesting in that enlarged picture is that the car still has the Sport+ to Eco Pro toggle. It doesn't have the 3 seperate buttons for the throttle, steering and adaptive suspension. Could be showing up later, who knows?

I'm guessing a lot of people will be disappointed...

Seats I'm not surprised... M car's interior generally just have better trims etc. never huge differences.

But that looks very m235i

The F85/86 (X5/6M) do not have DCTs, only the same looking shift levers.

Not really. I personally don't care too much about the things that don't involve how the car drives. What I will care about is the price difference between this and an M3.

The M2 needs ///M seats, Merino Leather, and optional extended leather and contrasting stitching on the dashboard.

Just a shame if the production car has a poor standard 1-2 series interior

Make it an affordable ///M for those who want is good. But come on BMW, let the others (those who just do not like the M4...) correctly equip their M2 !!!

It won't be as big of a difference as people make it out to be or hoping it will be.
