Great spot on the fuel door, I never even noticed that either! So it's highly likely that's the final rear wheel arch shape! This is great news!

This has to be one of the best BMW's I've seen in a while.

That's why everyone is dying for information, but sadly new information on this car is rare.

Still no covered top. Which means no carbon roof

Not a deal breaker but would certainly like to see more M aesthetics and lighter materials be used. This is the full M version, there should be no holding back

I suppose BMW has several mules that could be testing the drivetrain components or suspension, but have old bodywork. I think someone posted in another thread that some cars only get send out at night.

That mule has the old M235i Racing body panels, so take that for what it's worth.

I'm sure there are several mules to test drivetrain, body hardware and panel fitment, tuning etc. It's good to see it on the road!

I certainly would much prefer if it had CF roof, not just for weight loss, but I think it just looks so cool. The good news is that I was surfing the web a couple of months ago and saw a picture of an E92 M3 mule that had sunroof delete, but it was a steel panel, rather than CF, which as we all know became standard on these cars. So that makes me believe that we still have a chance to get it on the M2. Regardless, I'm not getting sunroof whether or not we get CF roof

I figured out how to increase the accuracy of a render... what I like to call a analytic breakthrough

Not quite.
The new styling for the front bumper has been completely ignored and the rear end just looks wrong for some obscure reason

They've got the front aero wrong. It's missing the "fangs" we've seen on test mules. The rear fender shape is wrong too. The cammo'd up mules with the proper fuel doors still have that "boxed out" appearance, rather than a flare that follows the radius of the wheel well.

IMO, more wrong than right about this render.
