No bumps... it's flat. That's how the mtn alien paint lays. I've used it on a few other interior trims (idrive bezel) on my X5 with a smooth finish.
Nice. I might give it a go.

May I ask what colour paint it is?

Had the Fabspeed sport cat installed. Paired with the MPE it does get loud with the valves open.

Here's how it sounds

Is that a blue wrap or just a bad filter?

That video has the saturation dialed down very low. There's almost no color in anything.... looks like regular LLB to me.

Nice tips. Could you show if they have a screw, friction fit etc. I looked at the pics on their website but didn't see any screw tightener.

It's a duct for channeling the messy air directly into the oem path. Eventuri make one also I believe. Yes it separates the intake air from the radiator/coolers air so I guess there is an element of cai.
It sits in the direct airstream behind the grill (see pic).
Does it add any hp ? I have no idea & for what it costs I honestly don't care, but the smooth path to the air box feed it creates certainly can't hurt.
As we know turbo cars don't benefit greatly from intake mods but from many years building rally/race cars I've learnt it's all in the details. It also fits/looks oem & retains the oem screen so I'm happy.

Excellent addition IMO

Did you remove the snow plate?

I couldn't tell what was removed from your picture

Sits perfectly behind the kidney supplying cold air nicely to the air box

Thanks. Uses a screw which I faced downward so it cannot really be seen. Their site and vendors do not list the OG M2 as a fitment but that is simply because they made these tips for the M3/4 originally and the M2 and M3 have different part numbers. However I believe the only difference in OEM tips is flat cut versus slant cut but diameter is the same so these slide on just fine. Since these are new and clean on the inside you can still see the original exhaust pipes but I'm sure after a little driving it will be indistinguishable. I took more pics of the whole process if interested just shoot me a PM. I liked the simplicity of these tips, no markings and the brushed aluminum. The other ones I liked were AA but at half the price I figured I'd give ARM a try and I'm happy.

You remove the screen pictured to fit the duct then refit the screen.
I don't know what a snow plate is (I'm in Oz) but I'm guessing our cars don't come fitted with it.

Kind of a sad day. Took my M2 in for its last free service. Got new spark plugs, air filter, oil filter, and an oil change.

To kill time why I waited I looked at two new M2CSs. I was told I could buy one of them but I couldn’t justify the huge difference in cost. They also had a 2018 M3CS with only 6,000 miles on it.

I gladly drove home in my original M2.

Where is your mileage Dan ?

Curious because of the spark plugs being changed

At almost $90k that's a hard pass from my view of world currently

Put my powered sub, m mirror caps, and bbs wheels on. Excuse the monster truck gap, coilovers still need to settle.

For all you DIY people, if you had a matte black lip how would you go about painting it to a nice gloss black? I'm thinking of just putting on a gloss clearcoat.
