This dealer still hasn't come through with an allocation for me, so I can't recommend them for an M2C purchase until then.

If you want an X3 though, they have lots of those.

Have faith. If it's possible, she'll come through. As was mentioned in another post, she traded for a bunch of the allocations that members here, including me, got. At this point, that route is likely exhausted until the next set of allocations are handed out by bmw so the process can start again. The question that you should be asking is, where are you on that list? If you're next, you should feel confident.

I think we're talking about different dealers. The one that quoted me 10% off is Not the one that gets mentioned so often here in the M2C forum.

The high discount dealer was unable to secure me an allocation. I canceled my order with them today.

However, the dealer/CA that everyone talks about on the forum here was able to sell me a car at a less-than-10%-but-still-a-competitive-discount price for a 'special contents'6MT in HS !

Now my name is on the production order for a real car and it's on a boat!!!!

I can only speak for myself, but 10% was never on offer. Of course, I only committed in late January and demand has obviously been high lately, so lower discount. I'm still happy though just to secure one of these to my spec before they are gone.

Absolutely the recent spike in demand and restriction in available units put the squeeze on both my local dealer's ability to source an allocation (which was never a problem with my previous purchases) and also my ability to get a similar discount anywhere else.

Ended up with a bit over 6%, so I'm paying more, but wasn't willing to risk missing out on a car to keep my 10% discount!

As a bonus though I'm getting those sweet 763M jet black wheels!

^^ Awesome deal. ONE allocation was left at the largest dealer in Arizona last week, not budging off list price. The squeeze is upon us and it seems as if the few remaining allocations are gonna dry up quickly. People are realizing that this is it - the final opportunity to snag an F87 M2c.

Are you keeping your Golf R? Mine will remain as my daily, the M2c replaces my Z4 M Coupe, which was hit by a moron 2 weeks ago and will be sold once out of the body shop.

Gotta sell the R unfortunately. It's a great car, but we already have an extra car in the driveway with my daughter away at college (her Mini is just collecting dust other than when I drive it to keep it from rusting in place)

4 cars would be too many for 2 people who are WFH full time right now. Also - my arrangement with the wife to get her to go along with this plan required that I have a substantial down payment.
