It looks like they're well on their R&D way and I wouldn't be surprised if they released this car ahead of schedule.

How long after it's released would it take to get this?

Not sure how that all works, e.g. getting on a list, placing a deposit etc, since it's still in r&d.

how much does a moonroof weigh?

I read somewhere that the CF roof only saves 11lbs. Anyone know if this is true? If so the moonroof deletion seems undetectable weight wise.

Thats right, its lowering the center of G that matters more than the overall weight, its about dynamics

The M2 is shaping up well. If it gets some seriously aggressive wheel arches and a low stance, it will have a place in my garage. Im also loving that its not following the traditional Fxx look with touching headlights etc. Looks like a BMW.

Nice to see more of the M2..

If it safe to say BMW will hide it's actual looks for a long time, but I bet it getting some serious testing done. I think this thing is going to hold some serious G's..

I am also hoping it has CF bits, other than just roof & drive shaft. And eventually offer CF trunk, bonnet and quarter panels..

What is it going to weight..? 3,300lbs..?

I don't think you've heard both then....there is a guy on here who owns both and says the same thing. the 135is has a very distinctive and wonderful sound...
I constantly, (some times 2~3 a week), get people mentioning my exhaust to me. I don't even think the M235i sounds as good.. but really haven't heard a 6-manual yet.

Nah....stick with M2. M always has to be before the #.
Only exception is the 1M and we all know the reason for that.!

I don't think so. The M235i is already in 3500 lbs range, add LSD, more cooling devices and wider tracks and you will get a car that will be even heavier unless they add CF parts from the F82. I think i should pay the dealer a visit. There are questions that need to be answered.

Any info would be great, don't hold out if you know anything. I just spoke with my sales person two days ago and they had not heard anything yet.
