You sure those are actual M2 CS tunes and not M3/4 CS?

“Legit” m2cs maps are impossible to load to an m2c without an FSC code from BMW - which is only provided to M2CSes. But BM3 and MHD have “CS” maps which give power at a similar level to the m2cs, though I’m not a fan of the throttle mapping and smoothness

Correct, that’s my issue is the throttle mapping and smoothness on some tunes out there I am not fond of and would not be happy with. Want OE smooth.

If you want the smoothest then you need a Bend Calibration tune. All the OE maps especially in S+ mode have a janky strategy on S55.

Commanderwiggin is on point here - just another of the positives of their tunes. Makes S+ not only actually useable now but also the preferred map to run. Even with higher HP cars their maps are still very driver friendly.

I wouldn’t say the stock maps are buttery smooth. The M2C map falls on its face above 5k rpm.

Is this in British Columbia or in Oregon?

Funnily enough, my Google-Fu brings up two shops with the same name in both areas.

Hmmm.

I'm very happy with bootmod3 m2 cs tune

Running it without any problem since 2 years

My car is manual, I'm always driving in sport +, very smooth gas pedal, easy to take off, not jerky.

Absolutely no complaint about this tune

Yes, yes it does fall on its face past 5,200, no doubt.
Another car I have did same thing stock, most of these new cars with small responsive turbos do, and even the popular stock housing turbo upgrades still run out of breathe up top, PLUS usually create more heat pushing all that through a small housing, despite the people who spend all the money not wanting to admit that….the only solution there was…… larger housing turbos, but you just accept you are moving the power curve to the right a bit to accomplish a true full climbing power curve all the way to redline.

By smooth I’m talking throttle tip in when I’m a track or for that matter driving around town.

A couple of the local M-car guys that run at our local track have horrible jerkiness to their car during initial throttle tip in. It’s just a horrible experience on street and track, makes the car aweful. I know who’s tune they have, I won’t be getting that one.
The cars red light to red light in town are whiplash machines, and on certain corners at track it’s just horrible.

Which tunes? Since I just detuned from Carbahn, it would be good to know as I'm searching for a more "CS" and street friendly tune.

Considering Bend Calibration, but more research required.

TIA.

Doesn't matter where; it's all remote tuning.

I track my M2C fairly heavily and have had Bend Calibration handle the tuning from the start. The car has evolved pretty considerably during this time from basically stock w/tune to it's current iteration of building the motor and going to even bigger turbos. The major constant through this has been the drivability of the car - the throttle mapping has been excellent from day one working with Bend. The last setup we ran before dropping the motor was with the Full Race drop-in turbo upgrade, Wagner tmic, do88 intake, AA downpipe w/hfc, iPE cat-back, and BC's flex fuel kit. We were pushing towards 600 at the wheels - the setup had more in it but with track usage and working with a tuner that is very familiar with track work we did not push it further and risk losing the motor (still stock internals). Driveability at this level is still excellent with their Sport+ being the go to setting. Making the decision to go to big HP numbers on a track car was much easier having experienced this - knowing that they understand how to make higher HP cars still work on the track is key. I actually feel like this is one of the biggest advantages my car has on the track over others. Not something that you are going to get with any of the oem maps.

From what it sounds like you are looking for would definitely consider having a conversation with them. Good people, very helpful, and great tunes.

Also just an FYI - the Full Race turbos pull hard throughout the rev range. They are an excellent upgrade for a street/track build. I have some track video of the car up to 160 in high ambient temps where it just pulls hard the whole way if you would like to see them working.

Edited to add that I am not a vendor for Bend Calibration - I am a happy customer. Do not want this to comes across as a sales ad but instead a recommendation based on my experience with them.

If I may ask, why did you detune from Carbahn? Was it not what you expected or were there other driveability or smoothness issues?

What's the difference between a M4CS tune and the M2CS tune anyway if there is any?

I 'm using MHD by the way.

I tried the CS tune but preferred the GTS tune. Now running Stage 2 for over a year. Very fast car now

Cheers

+1 with Commanderwiggin

My bend calibration tune drives better than stock or the previous BM3 OTS maps I had, especially with city driving, lower rpms, shifting gears and getting back on throttle smoothly, etc.

M4 CS is slightly more powerful than M2 CS - 460hp/450hp and 600nm/550nm respectively.

All the CS tunes are replicas. The m4 CS tune is the most powerful stock style s55 map short of the gts. I ran the BPM CS tune for 3 years on my m2c. It ran beautifully and I had no issues. It transforms the top end power and mid range torque and IMO is a perfect street power level.

There is a map on BM3. Its named OEM CS (not on the multimap). It runs flawlessly and the part throttle is spot on.
