I didn't think bmw developed them, rather michelin developed them with input (and $$) from bmw?
Even on michelin website, the front size cup 2 245/35/19 are no longer available in star. But cup 2 connect are now available front and rear star. When i bought them only rear connect was available star, not front. So i had to go older non-connect to get a set of 4 star marked. But nowhere does it mention treadwear. Next time I'll get connect cup 2 star marked, but no idea what treadwear they are! |

To further add to the confusion is that the "Connect" tire in current form will go away. The track connect system has been discontinued. From my conversation with the track connect team I don't believe they are abandoning the "connected" idea, but they way they connect will be different.

Yeah i saw the connect transponder system is discontinued, but the connect tyre range is still current.
I keep finding seemingly the same cup2 tyres, some with wet weather C rating and some D? But when you view the full spec sheet it's the same tyre! (Maybe, as treadwear not listed) |
