MPE + Fabspeed Sport Cat
Hi guys has anyone tried the Fabspeed sport Cat with the MPE ?
I currently have the MPE on my car and everything else stock and i absolutely love it so i don't want to mess with the sound. That being said i really like the power gains i see from just the fabspeed sport cat so i am considering it however i am scared it will make the MPE too loud or dronny due to the smaller backbox the MPE has, can anyone with experience comment on this is that correct or can i just go ahead with the sport cat with no alteration in the sound ? |

The Sport Cat + MPE is probably one of the most popular setups guys run on their M235i/M2. It sounds absolutely incredible. It is not overly aggressive on the sound unless you have the valves open and are ripping on it. Very comfortable daily driving set up.

Il be honest in my opinion.
I have the mpe and 200cel DP from fabspeed and it's a marvelous piece of craftsmanship. I have zero lights, there is a niece improvement in turbo spool and sound, it's lighter than stock and, the obvious power/tourque increase is noticeable. And, it's better for the turbo/car longevity. If you run the MPE fully open it does sound amazing but, it vibrates a bit and can be slightly annoying as it resonates through the cabin. But, keep it closed and it's one of the best exhaust setups and sounds for the 3.0 straight six engine I've heard. Yeah you get lots of noise fully open but it sounds better closed imo |

A tune isn't going to make the sound change that much. It's not like the F8x guys that get the crackle tune to make it backfire like our M2/M235i's.
Keep in mind sound is subjective. I have our Sport Cat Downpipe + Muffler Bypass Exhaust (which is much louder than the MPE) and I absolutely love it. It provides enough aggression when in Sport or Sport+ and it's quite enough in Comfort to not make my neighbors hate me. |

I don't want to break your balls but is there any chance you can make a video of the setup on both comfort, sport and MDM mode? Would greatly appreciate it! |

Easy my friend. A couple sec vibration is never an issue but rather the noise from it is.
A simple fix is to further tighten mounting screws of tailpipes, it has to be harder than recommended torque. Tailpipe should still vibrates, noise will be gone.
