I know everyone is eager but pointing the finger at BMW isnt fair. Anyone that is on a list isnt a customer of BMW thus they dont owe you anything. Maybe its just bad practice for dealers to have a list at all.

I gave my 1K deposit to the dealer in January, he has kept me informed all along and called me to be the first to drive the demo they received, he has provided the VIN and production number so I could check it on My BMW on line..the car is in production now.. I'm very pleased with my dealer.

The main issue here IS the dealers - they are speculating and telling their "best" customers what they are being told (whispered to) - and none of that is official BMW stuff. A friend of mine is a dealer and he loves reading these threads - says it makes his day because he just can't believe some what is written (being so far from the truth). And no, I'm not blaming the people who post the stuff, it is their dealers and/or friends that are giving them bunk info. And yes, it is frustrating waiting for a car that was not going to be limited production and still does not have a sunroof in America

Does that mean we'll see the allocations when we see them? |

Now seriously guys, if there is an update that says there will be a batch of cars released for three months allocation (and trust me, I don't doubt that BMW might do something like that), then it is very easy to post. Ask your dealer for a copy. Dealers do have to look for these things and yes, it is quite possible plenty have missed it. And then again, it is quite possible that there never was such an update. My worst fear? I get a July production car! Don't want that - in fact, September sounds good.

I agree. The list thing is just bad. They need a completely different process for this. Especially for us enthusiast that have been following this car before it was even rumored.

I apologize if this is a stupid question or if it has been answered elsewhere, but are the allocation for the next 3 months final or could there be a surprise email with additional allocations in July?

My dealer has also confirmed that they've heard nothing. I just keep telling myself that all this anticipation will only make getting the car that much more amazing.

I am not sure on this. I would think it is speculation. Hard to believe they only came out with 1 allocation for the next 3 months....

I am not sure how long the factory shuts down for. I suspect we won't see any more July allocations (and who wants a car without carplay! ). Hopefully August brings some love (which means early July?).
