I'm guessing the brightness of headlights in Canada is regulated by government standards, as it is in the U.S.

I had no idea what this setting was affecting. I just bumped it to 12% for shits and giggles because i saw someone else in here had it bumped up. i actually would love for my headlights to be brighter at night. and your logic is correct...if its set to 100 at day...whats the harm of it being 100 at night? (as long as its not like perma high beams lol) imma give it a try today!

During the daytime they default to 100% but once your lights turn on they dim, giving the car a weird look. It?s so much better at 100% at night.

thanks buddy. you also resolved my auto mirror fold issue...it was my only factory gripe with the car....like how is that not default? haha.

that and ASD alone was worth the $47 bucks. after a year i was tired of those fake ass sounds. especially the rev match sound.

Navigation unit was also updated (not maps, but the unit's firmware).
Noticing any performance improvements? There is a thread going on right now that the latest software ups the boost target and updates the shifting of the DCT if you have it.

I have a manual transmission. Haven't noticed anything different yet, aside from iDrive no longer crashing.

I busted wanted to confirm if you had to start from scratch and re-code after the iDrive software update.

Yes, all coding was erased from all modules when the car was re-programmed by the dealer.

I have them coded with 100% angel eyes when low beams are on at night as well but the have a minor concern it may get too hot when low beams are on. But even if it shortens the life of the bulbs it's still worth the looks.

The other thing 100% angel eyes may affect is visibility in fog, rain or snow. Since the angel eyes aren't directed, focused light like the headlights, the scatter from them will reflect more from fog, rain or snow and slightly diminish your ability to see the road ahead.

Because Bimmercode was not available on Android, I bought a used iPhone for the sole purpose of running Bimmercode. However, I'd still rather run it on my Android phone. Does the license require another app purchase to run on Android? To avoid paying again, I'm fine with transferring the license.

I think so. I am using an old ipad I had lying around but I would prefer to transfer the license to android if I could.

It doesn?t. I drove mine all winter in Canada this past year and through a lot of fog (we?re in a river valley) and the beams are so much more intense that it makes the angel eyes irrelevant

I would really like to change the quick turn signal from 3, to either 4 or 5 blinks.

Haven't been able to find this, only indicator listed in FEM module is for lock & unlock, on & off beep. Went several pages further back on this thread and someone said that this feature has been removed. Is that correct?

I see, it is car dependent as far as I know so not all models are supported. But being a new car it should be.

From what Stephan told me, it seems like it was removed for new models – or at least the MY 2018 F32.

This was his reply to me verbatim from 9.7.2017, "with later BMW firmaware this can not be changed anymore, sorry."

Actually you can! But it?s now just built into the iDrive. You can choose either 3 or 5 clicks.

This option was around for MY16/17/18 right into the software of memory serves me right, unfortunately I can’t remember the steps to modify it though, hopefully others can chime in.

Thanks guys, mine is a 17 M2. ED pick up May 30 & about September 10, 1200 mile service at local dealer in Honolulu. I don’t have the “Indicator Cycles” on my FEM in the BimmerCode app. Hopefully another way around this.
