Thanks for the heads-up. Now added to the first post of the dedicated thread.
Also gets us an idea how the M2 CS sounds inside the cabin space when under load. 02:08: gong signal - M2 CS went into 'limp mode' after the hot lap (text that pops up on the screen 02:06-02:10 mentions that the car was running on empty. You hear the sudden power drop (going into limp mode) in the straight line at 02:06). So hot lap test result: with almost no fuel weight and with a few moments of limp mode right before the finish line.

I don't think you can make a proper judgment of its interior sound based on the video, as some the aural feedback gets lost in translation, from mic to speaker. Cool video nonetheless. |

I like the CS/GTS touches. I think it spruces up the interior just enough to not focus on the cheap interior.
To be honest though. It my be nice to not have an interior covered in leather for my daughter to put her shoes all over. I never see the shoes touch the glove compartment, but I always have dirt scuffs after she's been in it. |

Now I can actually hear what the real car underneath the noise is doing. Not sure why BMW includes ASD on M Cars.

I spoke with a longtime BMW scientist that worked on cabin noise cancelling signals. He said that they've had active noise cancelling for quite a while. Is the ASD a culmination of very good noise cancelling requiring the necessity of piping in false sound to engage the user?
Further speculation is that programming out ASD would likely also eliminate the noise cancelling function. Do we know whether there is active noise cancellation, and if there is a way to keep it without the fake engine noise? In my opinion noise cancellation would be a nice feature on long drives. |

I believe someone mentioned that the one in Brussels had hood vents, but may be unique to M2. The one in these photos kinda looks like a hybrid between M4CS and mperformance. It's really hard to tell with the camo. For a while I was convinced I was seeing rear brake duct vents in rear fenders.

Rumours have indicated an LA auto show reveal which is approximately one month away. If I recall correctly, they usually do the web-launch several weeks prior to the auto show. Any thoughts? |
